Today, we are sharing news that is difficult for all of us.
After many years of serving the Mendocino Coast community, the Mendocino Coast Hospice Thrift Store will permanently close. Our final day of retail operations will be September 30, 2026.
This store has always been more than a thrift store. It has been a place where friendships were formed, volunteers shared their time and talents, donors gave generously, and where customers found hidden treasures.
To every volunteer who gave countless hours, every donor who dropped off a bag of treasures, every customer who stopped in to shop, and every staff member who helped make this store so special — thank you. You have been the heart of this store, and your kindness and generosity have created a lasting legacy that will not be forgotten.
While this chapter is coming to an end, Adventist Health Mendocino Coast Hospice is not closing. The hospice team will continue providing compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care and support to patients and families throughout the Mendocino Coast.
Over the coming weeks, we invite you to stop by, say hello, share your memories and help us celebrate everything this store has meant to our community. We will also be holding a series of sales as we prepare for our final day, and we'll share those details here on this page.
