Big, bittersweet news from ABC. 💚💛🧡❤️

After a lot of thought, I've decided to sell the shop, and our wonderful operations manager, Jen Krieger, will be its new owner!

I need more time with my family and more space to care for my health. Jen has the passion, energy, and ideas to carry ABC forward, and you've already seen her work in our fresh new store layout.

Thank you to our staff, volunteers, and customers for every visit, workshop, and kind word. You've made this place so much more than a store.

Read my full letter on our blog (link in bio), where I share more of the story and thank the people who helped get us here.

Happy National Color Day! 🎨🌈

Did you know colors can actually shape your mood? Red brings excitement, yellow sparks happiness, green feels relaxing, and purple whispers power. Colors aren't just pretty — they tell a story in every piece of art.

So today, we're celebrating all the hues that make our craft shelves (and your projects) come alive. What's your go-to color to create with? Tell us below! 👇

Come find your perfect shade in our supply bins — paint, yarn, fabric, and more, all waiting for their next masterpiece. ✨

Rubber stamping is the gateway drug of papercrafting, and we are SO here for it! 😄

We’ve been sorting through all-new donations, and you haven’t seen these stamps before! We found some real gems:

✨ Out-of-print Magenta stamps
✨ A few Fred Mullet stamps
✨ A LOT of Stampscapes stamps

Come into the workshop and grab yours today!

Happy National Reuse Day! ♻️

Every October 20th, we celebrate one of our favorite things: giving stuff a second life instead of sending it to the landfill. Swipe through for 10 easy ways to honor Reuse Day today — from repairing instead of replacing, to swapping clothes, to rescuing that "trash" furniture piece that just needs a little love.

And of course... bring your arts and crafts supplies to ABC! Your extras could be someone else's next masterpiece. 🎨

Every Wednesday at Always Be Creating is Open Studio Time

A dedicated time to create, connect, and make real progress on your projects. ✨

You know the feeling: you sit down to create at home and suddenly it's laundry, dishes, notifications, and five little "quick things" that steal your momentum. Open Studio is your protected time and space to actually make. Spread out at a 6- or 8-foot table, use our cutting mats and collage stash, and leave with progress you can see.

🗓️ A midweek reset for makers
$5/hr • Walk-in Wednesdays • 10 AM–5 PM • 8 tables available

This is your time to work on your own projects (bring what you need!) — not a store-directed make-and-take event.

Why makers love Open Studio:
🪑 Space to spread out — no packing up mid-project
🧺 Fewer home distractions
✋ Gentle accountability — show up, sit down, and get in the zone
😊 Friendly, maker-focused energy
💵 Simple and affordable — pay when you arrive

Drop in anytime during open hours, choose an open table (first come, first served), and settle in. Just remember to reset your space before you go!

📞 Want to avoid a wasted trip? Call ahead to check table availability: (970) 694-2855

Some of the best friendships start with a shared glue stick. 🧑‍🎨✨

October 19 is National New Friends Day, and here at Always Be Creating, we think there's no better way to meet new people than over a craft table! Whether it's Crafternoons, Open Studio, or one of our workshops, our community is full of friendly faces just waiting to say hi.

So here's your sign: come craft with us, strike up a conversation, and see where it leads. You might just walk out with a new friend (and a finished project too). 💫

(Tag a friend you met through crafting, or come make a new one!)
