PART 3
One of the biggest changes for 2027 affects people who have access to health insurance through their employer.
The affordability rules are changing, which means some people who were previously locked into their employer’s plan may now qualify for other coverage options. Depending on your situation, that could include Marketplace coverage or even Catastrophic plans if you meet the eligibility requirements.
This won’t affect everyone, but it could make a real difference for people whose employer coverage is expensive or doesn’t fit their needs.
The important thing is not to assume your options are the same as they were last year. Rules change, eligibility changes, and it’s worth reviewing your situation before Open Enrollment.
I’ll be making more videos explaining exactly who these changes apply to and what they could mean for you.
Comment “eligibility” if you’d like me to make a video explaining how the affordability test works.
