🎉 Introducing our new manager!! Alexis first joined the shop as the Consignment Coordinator, later stepping in as Acting Manager, and now takes on the role of Manager. She is married to a retired Navy guy and has three kids.
Amazingly for a military wife, she grew up locally in Alexandria. She has been an avid lover of all things vintage since high school. Besides her family, she enjoys functional fitness such as Pilates and walking. When she wants to relax it’s puzzle time and the beach is her happy place. Travel is a family must, and they have been lucky to experience many countries - including being stationed in Japan and Spain.
She loves our thrift shop mission of raising money for the community and knowing all things treasured will find a new home and be kept out of landfills. She loves coming into the shop and sees each day as a joyful adventure.
She advises those visiting the FMTS for the first time to pick a day when you have plenty of time to browse and explore. The FMTS has two buildings with so many items and volunteers with stories to tell. The journey is the cake and the treasures are the icing.
