𝐄𝐌𝐈-𝐆 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 is a second-generation, family-owned manufacturer with a passion for quality, thoughtful design, and American-made craftsmanship. Their Fort Payne mill produces zkano socks, using 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 to create socks that are good for your feet—and better for the planet.
The story behind Zkano began in 2008, when Gina Locklear brought her vision for organic socks to her parents, Terry and Regina Locklear, who founded EMI-G Knitting. Just one year later, Zkano was born.
Today, EMI-G continues to combine generations of textile expertise with modern design and sustainable practices, creating quality socks right here in the community known as the “Sock Capital of the World.”
