I teach 5th grade. I have an amazing class and wonderful coworkers. We’ve been reading the novel, The Mostly True Adventures of Homer P Figg. In the book, Mrs. Bean makes some buttermilk pancakes and the book has the recipe!
Today, we cooked Mrs. Bean’s pancakes! I’m telling you … they were absolutely delicious! Make you some!

We added some fixin’s like blueberries, chocolate chips, whipped cream, butter, syrup, etc.

I’ve been doing some cooking! You have 3 guesses and the first 2 don’t count 😊 Hint: I don’t usually make mine with meringue.
I use the recipe on the side of the Nilla Wafer box.

It’s that time of year again when starting back to school is just around the corner! This book is great to read to children as they prepare for the first days of school, great for teacher gifts and parent gifts.
