This literally made my day to find $10 in change as a payment today. 💕

I’m back open after some repairs from the storm, drying out and starting over by baking the day away. More to come tomorrow.

I’ll be closed today for repairs. Thanks to Suzanne and the Guys at Frankfort DPW for flipping this back upright. *Since this was an unplanned disaster - I had prepared fresh Plain Sourdough that was headed out today. If you are interested let me know and we can do a porch pick up. 😉

It doesn’t get better than fresh from the oven. I’ll wait an hour to let them cool a bit. But plain sourdough bread will still be warm and ready in the bakery shed at 1130am today. If you want to ensure a loaf let me know and I’ll save one for you. 🥰

I have been so blessed by the support and love poured out by both locals and vacationers alike. Every once in a while a Venmo may not go through, which I believe is unintentional. There are also times a treat doesn’t get paid for. But the majority are amazing honest people who always pay and leave me sweet notes.

Saturday morning 2 school aged boys stopped by on their bikes. They were so kind and respectful. Each taking a sweet bread slice, writing down what they purchased and even had cash placed in the box. As I was walking out the door they were getting back on their bikes. They said hello and thanked me while eating their treat. 💕 Shoutout to the parents raising these 2 fine young men.

Then today I had someone stop by and get a package of my chocolate chip cookies. She left what maybe she thought they were worth or perhaps all she had. Not what I sell them for.

It amazes me that it’s not the younger kids who take a treat without paying. Those I have noticed are actually my age and older. They even appear to pay but only leave a dollar or two. It’s crazy knowing they are on camera and this is still happening!!

If you don’t love chocolate then today may not be your day 😂. Just kidding, I have a variety of sweet treats for everyone. However, I was feeling the love for all things chocolate today.

Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting topped with Oreo, Reese’s peanut butter cups or the standard sprinkles. I also have giant chocolate cookies with Reese’s pieces, stuffed peanut butter cups or Andes mints.
