Yellowstone isn’t just the first U.S. national park (1872) but it’s also a supervolcano that fuels more than 10,000 geysers, hot springs, and mudpots. Which is a neat fact, but I didn’t realize that until I was there - standing on the supervolcano 🌋. Which is a very interesting feeling 😂😅
For another fun fact: Yellowstone is also home to the largest concentration of mammals in the lower 48, from bison and elk to wolves and grizzlies. 🦬🐺🌋
I visited just last month, and making these earrings from a Yellowstone postcard felt like bottling up a piece of that adventure.
This is part of my new series turning National Park postcards into wearable memories — one park, one postcard, one piece of jewelry.
