Important update from the shop!
As of today we are open for business for 2026
At ReCycles Bikes, our core mission has always been full-blown bicycle revival. Rescuing good bikes, restoring them properly, and putting long-lasting, reliable rides back into the community.
To strengthen our focus on that mission, we’re making a difficult, but important change.
At the end of January, our traditional service department will be closing.
January will be the final month for regular tune-ups and small repair jobs on bikes not purchased from us.
Going forward, bikes not purchased from ReCycles Bikes will be limited to complete refurbishment options, with an emphasis on restoring bikes to safe, reliable, long-term riding condition rather than a la carte repairs.
We’re a small shop with a small staff and limited bandwidth, and this shift allows us to do our best work, by focusing on quality, longevity, and keeping bikes out of the landfill.
If you have purchased your bike through us, then nothing will change other than faster turnaround times! The change will allow us to stack even more value into the bikes we revive for resale, which come with lifetime tune-ups, and now even closer time and attention.
We understand this may be difficult news for some, but this decision is necessary for the long-term health of our shop and our ability to continue doing meaningful work.
A note for members:
If you signed up for a membership with a bike not purchased from us, we’re not leaving you behind.
Members will receive $100 off a tune-up through the end of January and going forward will enjoy the new perk just added, free flat protection!
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we take this next step.
