I believe I mentioned Figpalooza last week and how I addressed the situation today is with this galette that is simply figs, honey, rosemary and a whole wheat pastry crust languishing in my freezer.

Humans vs. Figs vs. Squirrelsā€¦ yesterday I realized that my Chicago Hardy figs had all ripened overnight and the squirrels (having no discernible employment options šŸ¤£) were merrily chomping away. I was forced to spring into action and what you see here in this Glasbake dish is only a small part of the harvest.

Drink much? Neither do Iā€¦ at least not at this levelšŸ¤£

I was recently invited to help sell a really unique collection of decanters. All of them were from a single collector who also apparently spent some amount of time emptying them. It wasnā€™t until I cleaned them up that I started to understand what was special about these 1970s era pieces, which is that they represent many different states and celebrations. As someone who isnā€™t from somewhere in particular, I have a connection to almost all of them and Iā€™m guessing some of you might as well.

So now this is a call out to all of my Wisconsin, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Masonic, lilac and Indy 500 lovers who also collect owlsšŸ¤£ The holidays are coming!!!!

What did I come home with????

Took a quick Saturday trip to in Baltimore and didnā€™t come home with a dresser but I did come home with a pair of adorable Hitchcock side chairs. Iā€™m sure I have some fabric to replace the seats and with a little cleanup, theyā€™ll be making an appearance at my next pop up with the third one I found last month. I also got some project ideas in my head that need to get cracking on inside, while itā€™s hot outside, so I can finish them in time for my next sale.

Now I donā€™t do a ton of animal art but when in Rome and all that šŸ¤£ Todayā€™s sale at Dublin Roasters Coffee helps support the The Frederick County Humane Society and we think thatā€™s worth a peek. Iā€™ll be here until 3ā€¦with all my animals!-)
