In May, we had the incredible honor of being a part of a book-loving couple’s beautiful wedding day 💍. Not only was Colleen the kindest and sweetest bride, but both Colleen and Tucker’s families and friends were so enthusiastic and welcoming. They purchased the couple’s entire “honeymoon reads” wish list (we even had to sneakily scour the bride’s Goodreads page to find more for them to buy for the happy couple). I still can’t get over these gorgeous photos by 📸. We are so humbled to have been asked to be a part of such a special day at 🥰.

We are so excited to be back at A. Smith Bowman Distillery SummerFest! This was such a fun event last year. There is an amazing set-up of vendors, a live music tent, food trucks, tours of the distillery, complimentary tastings, and of course Fredericksburg Roller Derby will be doing their Sour Mash Dash 🛼! I will share our video from last year so you can see what it is all about. Whether you participate or just watch from the sidelines, it is so fun to see!

We will be set up from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the row of food trucks. Admission and parking are free! We can’t wait to see you there!

This next month is FULL of opportunities to come visit us! We will be at some of our favorite locations and you can find us all over the map.

📚Come see us August 1st for A. Smith Bowman Distillery’s annual Summerfest. We had an absolute blast at this event last year. You have to come see the Fredericksburg Roller Derby team in action. This is a really fun event that includes live music, food, and of course drinks. Come see us at A. Smith Bowman Distillery ☀️!

📚Then we will be off the map for a weekend before popping up at our favorite farmer’s market Long Family Farmers Market on August 16th. Come by and pick out some fresh produce and some handmade products. We will be there stocked up with your end of summer reads and our summer shirts.

📚Next up, we will be returning to Grounds Bistro + Cafe in Stafford for Books at the Bistro on August 22nd. Come by and grab a coffee and shop our shelves. This is also a perfect opportunity to make dinner plans with that friend you have been meaning to catch up. Browse our books and grab a bite to eat!

📚We will then be heading down the road on August 23rd to Jessica Danielle for our August Book Market Book Club. It’s not too late to join us for this. The RSVPs are still open in the link in our bio. Join us for brunch and book club and then shop afterwards in the trailer. Remember that the trailer is open to all during that hour. You don’t have to attend book club in order to stop by and shop.

📚Finally, we couldn’t think of a better way to end summer then to close it out back at Long Family Markets. We will be there on August 30th to close out the month! This event will be the last event that we will have our full stock of t-shirts. We can’t wait to start planning for fall!

I absolutely cannot wait to hear what you guys thought of Phoebe Berman’s Gonna Lose It! We will be meeting for brunch at Grounds Bistro + Cafe on Sunday from 1:00-2:00 to discuss the book and then the mobile bookstore will be open outside from 2:00-3:00 for shopping. All are welcome! If you weren’t able to read the book this time, you are still more than welcome to come visit and shop afterwards.

Since The Correspondent by Virginia Evans came out, I’ve been wanting to read it. When the deluxe edition released, I added it to my very hopeful TBR stack with the hope to pair it with a set of nails. I’m so excited to dive in to this one. Wow! What a close vote this month! You guys ultimately chose The Shampoo Effect by Jenny Jackson as our August Book Club book. I’ve heard great things about this one, so I can’t wait to see what you all think. This month we will be heading a little further south to accommodate some of our book club members that don’t live in Stafford. We are so excited to bring book club to our favorite breakfast spot, Jessica Danielle . We will be brunching inside from 12:30-1:00 and then the trailer will be open outside from 1:00-2:00.

Please make sure you RSVP using the link in our bio so we can save a seat for you and let me know if you want me to order you a copy of The Shampoo Effect. I will bring those copies to our July book club meeting for those who have requested them. I’ll be ordering those copies on Sunday so make sure you have your RSVP in by then.
