I was so excited and truly honored to have the opportunity to test the beautiful Storybook Flower Collection from one of my favorite crochet pattern designers Kristen | Crochet Pattern Designer. FIVE gorgeous new flowers: Poppy, Gladiolus, Pansy, Calla Lily and Water Lily.

And a fun little fact that made this collection even more special to me, Poppy and Gladiolus are both my August birth flowers!

I’m always amazed by how beautifully Kristen writes her patterns and magically turns yarn into flowers with so much shape, texture, and personality 💐🌸🪷🏵🌹

There are so many possibilities with her floral designs: play with different colors, create seasonal bouquets, birth-month flowers, special gifts, or simply make your favorite blooms.

September’s side quest was a total success! 🌸
​I squeezed this cardigan in for my daughter over a couple of weeks while testing the Storybook Flower collection for Kristen | Crochet Pattern Designer

Granny squares are just so versatile, and the Lil' Scrappi Cardi pattern is fun and simple to adjust for sizes.

​I also experimented with a combination stitch for the cuffs, bottom and front edges to get that knit-look while keeping it all crocheted. It took some patience, but I couldn't be happier with how clean it looks!

There is something so deeply satisfying about watching the Jasmine Stitch come together 🌸

It wasn't my first time making a Jasmine Stitch pattern by Makalani Sæther | Jasmine Patterns, Tutorials & Membership 🌸 , but working through this project felt like a brand new experience.
The stitches take a bit of extra patience, but seeing that star-like texture take shape makes every single one worth it.

As a beginner to sewing, learning how to add a fabric lining was a new step for me! It finished off the clutch so nicely and made the pouch extra practical and usable for holding small items.

The finished piece turned out so plush, sturdy, and functional! It’s definitely become one of my favorite projects to work on, and I think it’s going to make the absolute sweetest handmade gift.
