Racing aficionados! Original oil pastel by artist Kim Miller. Kim was a dear friend who passed from breast cancer. This 1987 gorgeous drawing depicts my filly, Esperanza, breaking her maiden. 24” x 28” unframed. 34” x 30” matted/framed.

History: Painted for June Dutcher (Coppercrest). June donated it to ATCA for the ATCA Floating Specialty with supported entry at the Santa Barbara Kennel Club in 1988 when we celebrated 100 years of Airedales in America. I won this item during the silent auction at the banquet. BTW - that day, Best in Show was won by none other than Ch. MJ’S Stone Ridge Chosen One - AKA “Abe” (who just happens to be TuTT and Butter’s sire).

Artist: Player’s Cigarette dog cards
History: One from 1929, one from 1939. I have owned them since 1984. Rose Richards (RIP) of Blazoncrest fame (not too many of you will even know that name) had the other 2. She and I bickered back and forth thru the years, trying to get the other to sell their set. Rose passed years and years ago. I have no idea what even happened to the other 1/2.

Item: “K’wani”, 19”x23” framed oil pastel. Artist: 9 year old Kirke LaShelke.
History: A print of this pastel drawing was raffled at OctobAIREfest IV. We planned to have this be a perpetual donation - winner would keep for a year and it would be raffled again at the next year’s OctobAIREfest. It was first won by Rosey Young and was donated back the following year. It’s then won by a fellow whose wife, while they going thru a horrific divorce, set fire to it in their backyard. This piece was gifted to me by Kirke’s parents in 2008. The subject was “K’wani” (Blackheath’s African Queen), who was the daughter of Mojo - the boy I imported from SA from Yvonne Mutgatroyd in 2001.
