Hi friends!
First - I want to say I’m sorry this post is late. Like really really late. I could blame it on life and circumstances and all of that would be true - but it’s also because I am no good at goodbyes.
We want to thank EVERYONE who came out to support us last year. Living in Sumner County can feel lonely sometimes but interacting with book people restored my faith in people and our community. Book people are open minded, kind, generous, folks who bring so much good to the community. And anytime we had an event - ya’ll SHOWED up! We can never say thank you enough.
This past year has been filled with ups and downs and somewhere along the way - it became clear our priorities has to change. As much as we loved Prose & Pine, there were other things in life that needed to take center stage. Our lives changed so much from the time we started to the time we decided we couldn’t keep going. So for now, we are going to say goodbye and thank you for the amazing memories. For one of the best years I have had in our community!
I’m abysmally behind with checking anything but am going to try to go through as many messages as I can. Thank you for your patience and kindness and support.
If you’re looking for an independent bookstore in the area to support on Bookshop or LibroFM or in store - I highly recommend The Bookshop in East Nashville. I go there regularly and just bought my newest book, Song of Achilles (so good) there last week. They are a small local business who values the freedom to read and community just as much as we do.
We love our book community in Sumner County and I hope to see ya’ll around!
