Carhop Vintage

Carhop Vintage Welcome to Carhop Vintage! Find us inside The Maverick Exchange in Gatesville, Texas. Thanks for stopping by—hit follow and come along for the ride.

Here, I’ll highlight vintage and retro finds, share stories behind unique treasures, and post fun facts. With my kids now grown and out on their own, I’ve found myself with a bit more free time—and I’ve fallen in love with hunting for vintage treasures that bring back cherished memories from my childhood. What started as a personal hobby has turned into a bit of an obsession (I have more collections than I care to admit!) and I’m still discovering new interests all the time. What I love most is helping others reconnect with their past. Whether it's a toy they played with as a kid or a piece that reminds them of their grandparents' home, it brings me joy to hear people say, "Oh wow, I remember this!"

In May 2025, I set up at my very first vintage market. It was both nerve-wracking and incredibly rewarding—and it definitely won’t be my last! I’m also excited to announce that Carhop Vintage will soon have a booth at a local vendor mall. I’m looking forward to joining a vintage seller community and becoming a trusted source for nostalgic finds, especially on Facebook. On this page, I’ll be highlighting favorite finds, sharing stories behind unique items, and posting fun facts I’ve picked up along the way. Thanks for stopping by—I hope you’ll give the page a follow and come along for the ride down memory lane.

🐝💛🖤 GATESVILLE HISTORY + HORNET PRIDE 🖤💛🐝

If you grew up in Gatesville, went to GHS, cheered on the Hornets, or just love a great piece of local history, you’ll want to check out the vintage Gatesville Hornet memorabilia in the Carhop Vintage booth!

We’ve collected some pretty cool pieces of Hornet history, including:

🐝 Vintage Stingette uniforms
🏈 Vintage Gatesville Hornet souvenir footballs
📣 Vintage spirit pins
📚 Vintage Junior Crescent yearbooks
☎️ A vintage Gatesville Hornet phonebook cover
🏆 A 2000 GHS Football State Champions signed souvenir football
📰 A copy of the Gatesville Messenger announcing the 2000 State Championship!

That last pair is an especially fun piece of Gatesville history — a little time capsule from an unforgettable Hornet season. 🏆🏈

These aren't reproductions of hometown memories. They're pieces that were actually there for them.

Whether you’re looking for something to add to your own collection, decorate a Hornet room, surprise a GHS graduate, or just take a walk down memory lane, stop by and see what we have!

💛 Once a Hornet, always a Hornet. 🖤
