Customers today have plenty of ways to compare self-storage facilities. They can look at prices, promotions, unit sizes, photos, reviews, and locations before ever speaking with an employee.

What is much harder to compare online is how a business makes them feel. AI and virtual assistants won’t offer your potential tenants the peace of mind that comes with storing with you. Your customers want to know there are boots on the ground and a manager in the office who can watch over their belongings.

It’s the human connection that today’s customers are really striving to find.

Technology can make self-storage more convenient. Online rentals can speed up the process. Call centers can handle inquiries efficiently.

But when a customer chooses to walk through your door, you have an opportunity you shouldn’t waste.

The phone call may have gotten them there.
