This summer, Roanoke College & the RC Football team lost one of their own to su***de.

Their first home game theme is Su***de Awareness and Maroon Out! 9/12, 2pm!

But this maroon “Tomorrow Needs You” shirt is more than a piece of game-day gear. Anyone can wear it as a reminder that every life matters, every person has a place in this world. You are needed here!

Featuring “Tomorrow Needs You” on both the front and back, with the name and number of our beloved football player, Myles Rainey, this shirt honors his life while helping keep the conversation around mental health and su***de prevention going.

Wearing this shirt during the Su***de Awareness Month is a way to remember, support, and remind one another that no one has to face difficult moments alone.

Proceeds will be donated directly to the Rainey family as they are navigating another tragedy.

Our hope is to turn remembrance into action and help provide resources and support to others who may be struggling.

Apparently, we’re no match for JROTC, band and his friends. He brought me his JROTC uniform, turned on band class on the TV, and those facial expressions told us everything…B is READY to go back to school! And honestly? Seeing him this excited makes my heart so happy!!

Brayden LOVES a car wash and if he spots one before we do…you better believe we are hearing about it!

When he was younger he was TERRIFIED of them. Like, absolutely did NOT want anything to do with a car wash. And now?! You’d never know it!

Today, he found a car wash video on YouTube and was so excited to watch it. It’s one of those little things that probably seems so ordinary to everyone else, but for us, it’s a pretty amazing that he can find what he wants without words but instead video patterns…or at least that’s what I think it is 😂

And just like that, we left John at college for the third year!

Even though John was busy working during the summer and doesn’t get to see Brayden as much as he’d like, somehow Brayden understands exactly what it means when we drop John off at college. You would think he’d be happy because that means football starts, but Brayden still gets emotional when it’s time to leave. He almost does this little push-pull with John…like he wants him to go, but he’s also sad that he’s leaving. He fights the goodbye for a little while and then finally gives in.

We can’t wait to see what this year brings for John, both with school and coaching! We are so incredibly proud of him and the young man he continues to become.

And while it’s true that we are still not getting any better at this whole leaving-him-at-college thing…it’s secretly a little nice to know that Brayden has a hard time with it too.

We love you John 🤟🏽
