On this quiet Memorial Day, we at Woodman Stx pause and remember the empty chairs at tables across America—the ones that were never filled again.
We think of the young faces who left home with courage in their eyes and never came back. Sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters. They stepped forward when the world needed them most, knowing the price they might pay. They left behind laughter that would never echo again in family kitchens, dreams that would never be realized, and love that still waits in our hearts.
Today we honor not just their sacrifice, but the weight of what they carried so we wouldn’t have to. The final breaths taken on distant soil. The last letters written home. The silent goodbyes that mothers and fathers still feel in their bones decades later.
To every Gold Star family who carries a pain most of us can never fully understand—your loved ones gave everything so that we could wake up in a country still worth fighting for. Thank you will never feel like enough.
At Woodman Stx, we will never forget them. We will say their names. We will tell their stories. And we will live and work with deeper gratitude because of the freedom they purchased with their blood.
May God comfort every aching heart today. The fallen are gone, but their legacy of bravery lives on in each of us who remembers.
