The original was waterjet cut. This one is fully CNC machined — body and band plates, 6061-T6 aluminum throughout. Tighter. More refined. A lot more useful.
Multi-day rides have a lot of waiting around. Rest stops, camp chores, waiting for your buddy to fix a flat. The Spur Shot turns that downtime into target practice.
And when you actually need a tool — disc rotor truing, tire lever, spoke wrench, Presta valve body tool, 1/4” hex, post ride pry bar — it’s got you covered.

Perfect for knocking pinecones out of trees, camp target practice, or discouraging snack-stealing squirrels. The Spur Shot V2 is here (well on its way) to be your handy bikepacking sidekick plus more tools means its more useful. It might be a nice piece of eye candy hanging out on your fork leg, frame, or Mule Rack but that doesn't mean it can't be useful for normal bike touring excursions.

- Fully CNCed now from 6061 AL and black anodized
- New band plate design is also fully machined but Ano clear for a more raw look

Tools are:
- Disc rotor truing slot (up to 2.5 mm rotors)
- Presta valve tool
- Spoke Wrench (most common 3.23 mm ni**le size)
- 1/4" hex pocket for all those bits you already carry
- "Tire Negotiator" tire lever
- "Post-Ride Pry Bar" because you get thirsty at the end of those rides

I’ve been a little quiet lately… but after some post-holiday R&R I’ve been busy behind the scenes getting the next Mule Rack production batch ready. (Along with additional product I'll share soon!)

It’s been awesome seeing the excitement around this rack — the whole idea started with wanting a simple, tough rack that works for real off-road riding and bikepacking. Plus allows you to strap down and carry just about anything.

Production is getting close, so pre-orders are now open. This helps me plan the first round of packing and shipping and gives priority to the riders already planning their next adventure.

Mule Rack Experiment - at the end of the my most recent trip I experimented with carrying options on the Mule rack. I’ve always wanted a rack that has lots of lash points for versatile load carrying. Being able to strap down a dry bag wherever you want without fear of it going into the wheel is so helpful. It gives me lots of options during a trip to move gear around and add extras - like additional liters of water when necessary. The key to great bikepacking gear is reliability and versatility.
