Not a bad deal for a lighthouse nerd. First day open to the public! Fun to be around other passionate people about lighthouses and history.

My favorite personal story was climbing the light in March - picking up some glass from the wave that crashed in a window of the lantern room. A testament to the power of the lakes! Also tiny little shells were carried in all of the way up there.
