I think we’ve got coffee on our minds. 🌱☕️

Emily’s kids popped by my house, and we planted a little sap together 🌱💕

I love watching little hands pack soil around a tiny tree. Gets me every time.

Our tree sapling and planting kits make such a sweet gift. They’re also a great excuse to get the kids outside, with their hands in the dirt for an afternoon.

With school starting back up, I had an idea... what if you planted a tree the same week your child starts a new school year? You’d watch it grow right alongside them, one grade at a time 🌳💚

Our planting kits are available on our website, and we ship across the US.

Look at these gorgeous Norway spruce, growing so fast it’s time to give them a new home.

Right now they’re in these plugs, but soon they’ll get popped into bigger pots and just keep growing from there.

Nothing like watching something this small turn into something with real roots. 🌱

Checking in on an Eastern Red Cedar we planted in our yard a few years ago.

Still going strong, even through this year’s drought here in North Carolina. I think being in the shade helps a lot, the soil holds onto more moisture that way.

Fun fact if you’re new here: the green stem is new growth, the brown stem is old growth... a little way to read how your tree is doing just by looking at it.

We don’t water our in-ground Little Saps much once they’re established, proof that they can really hold their own and don’t need much attention, you can just watch them grow.

If you’ve got a little sap in the ground, I’d love to hear how it’s doing 🌱

Ever wonder what happens before your Little Sap heads your way?

We wrap the roots nice and snug, tuck it into one of our signature gift bags, and add a keepsake tag with a message picked just for the moment. Then comes a sturdy box to ensure it’s ready for anything the road throws.

Every single one gets packed with love, care and attention to detail.

If you know someone who could use a tree like this, we’d love to help you find the right one 🌱

Came to check the Little Saps planted in pots on my home patio and film some fresh content, but Jules had other ideas!

🐶 Meet Jules, the newest and arguably cutest addition to our family. I brought her by to meet a big part of our life for the first time, the Little Saps greenhouse.

Trees on repeat, and we would not have it any other way 🌲🌳🌱

Come take a peek in the Little Saps greenhouse and say hello to our Arizona Cypress and Leyland Cypress.

The Arizona Cypress is native to the Southwest, all the way down into Mexico. It grows in that classic pyramid shape, does well in just about any soil, and has real drought tolerance. Full sun is where it’s happiest.

The Leyland is actually a natural hybrid, a cross between a Monterey Cypress and an Alaska Cedar, first discovered back in 1888. It grows quickly, has soft blue/green needles, and is known for its legendary salt tolerance, so if you’re near the coast, this one’s for you.

Two different trees, two different stories, but they both start right here as tiny saplings before they head out to become someone’s gift!
