Are your houseplants being dramatic? Let’s talk about the ✨top 3 ways people accidentally sabotage their houseplants✨ (don’t worry… we’ve ALL been guilty 😅)

🌱 1. Overwatering AKA loving them to death
If you love your plant, you don’t need to drown it. Most houseplants would rather be a little thirsty than sitting in soggy soil.
👉 Tip: Stick your finger in the soil—if it’s still damp, step away from the watering can.

🌱 2. “This corner is cute” (but it’s basically a cave)
Plants need LIGHT. That aesthetic dark corner? Your plant disagrees.
👉 Tip: If you can’t comfortably read a book there during the day, your plant probably can’t thrive there either.

🌱 3. Ignoring the pot + soil situation
Keeping a plant in the same tiny nursery pot forever with old, compacted soil = sad roots.
👉 Tip: Give your plant fresh, well-draining soil and upgrade its pot when you notice the roots circling the pot —it makes a HUGE difference.

🌿 Bonus truth: Plants aren’t “hard,” we just have to learn what they actually need (not what we think they need 😄)

If your plant is struggling, don’t give up on it—you’re probably just one small change away from it thriving 💚

Come see me at the market if you need help picking the right plant (or fixing the one you already have 😉)

✨Monstera Seed Starting Tips✨ I just wanted to see if I could actually grow them and turns out it’s pretty easy! Now a few years later my house looks like a Monstera forest. 💕 Here are my tips:

1. Soak your Monstera seeds in water for 24 hours.
2. Cover them with 1/4” of soil, water in, and cover with a humidity dome or plastic wrap to keep it humid. (Make sure you have drainage holes!)
3. Keep the seed tray on a heat mat and grow lights as close as possible.
4. When they start popping up and grow tall enough to reach the humidity dome or plastic wrap remove the dome/wrap.
5. Wait until the seedlings are abiut 2-3 inches tall before transplanting to a small pot.
6. Bright, indirect light and water when the top couple inches of soil are dry!

If you’re looking for a houseplant that’s beautiful and basically stress-free… philodendrons are it. 🌿

They’re one of the easiest plants to care for — super forgiving, adaptable, and perfect whether you’re just starting out or already plant-obsessed. They thrive in a variety of lighting and don’t need constant attention. 🙌

Plus… can we talk about the variety?! From bold and dramatic to soft and trailing, there’s a philodendron for every vibe.

✨ Today at the great falls farmers market I’ll have:
• McCuller’s Finale
• Florida Bronze
• Brasil
• Heartleaf
• Neon

Whether you want something bright, moody, or classic green, I’ve got you covered 💚

Come grab one and see why philodendrons are a favorite in so many homes!
