Yard Sale Find of the Week! 🧺

Did you know Longaberger made ice buckets? I couldn’t believe it when I found this harder-to-find specialty basket, complete with its original fabric liner, insulated insert, insert lid, and wooden lid!

Like other vintage Longaberger baskets, it was handwoven in Dresden, Ohio, then signed and dated by its maker.

Forgotten Home History — Episode 7 ✨

I’ve found a lot of brass over the years, but this one might win. 😂 This oversized brass donkey stands about 15 inches tall and has so much character, detail, and patina.

Pieces like this are exactly why I love vintage decor, they’re bold, unexpected, and completely full of personality.

Before you decorate with pumpkins the same old way this fall… try this. 🎃✨

I had a few mini pumpkins and decided to style them with some of my vintage brass candlesticks and candelabra — and I love how unexpected it feels. It’s such an easy way to make fall decor feel a little more collected and a lot less predictable.

Vintage brass + pumpkins might be my new favorite fall combination. 👀

I found this incredible metal Paris café wall sculpture tucked away at a local sale, basically discarded in the corner of a garage. It’s an original Curtis Jeré piece!

It would look SO good hanging in my office… but it’s also exactly the kind of unusual vintage find I love putting in the Modern & Maiden shop.

Spent the day shopping a vintage pop-up market and The Market at the Mill! I found so many good pieces. 👀 There’s just something about walking through booth after booth and never knowing what you’re going to stumble across.

A few of my favorite finds from the day:
✨ Brass lamps
✨ Brass candlesticks
✨ An England keepsake box
✨ A hand-painted candle
✨ And a few other little vintage treasures I couldn’t leave behind

I always love finding pieces that feel a little different, have some age to them, and can bring so much character into a home.

It was also so nice meeting Feather Your Nest while I was there! 🤍 I can’t wait to go check out their booth Country Antiques and Curiosities and see what else they have.

How did we go from mantel clocks that doubled as statement pieces to checking the time on our phones? 😂

Once a staple of stylish homes, the mantel clock brought function, drama, and a little personality to the room.

Part clock. Part sculpture. Definitely not subtle.

It’s one piece of forgotten home decor we wouldn’t mind seeing make a comeback.
