I decided to scrap the other placemats although I do like the double thickness. Here's the progress of a new design. Unfortunately, it does use approximately the same amount of yarn, but sits flatter. This one uses a tunsian crochet technique and hook. The different parts will be sewn together to make a single placemat

Making sample colors for the placemats. Changing up a little from ready made to preorder/made to order. This helps with managing costs and inventory control. Due to the materials costs, these full sized double thickness placemats will be 4 for $65. I know these are priced a little higher than most makes, but it uses more materials and uses cotton yarn. This makes them reusable and washable/dryable

Ok so I changed my mind about the round placemats. It's probably just me, but I find they just don't look right. When I designed the rectangle ones, I was using up scrap yarn I had in my stash. Now, I have to evaluate what I actually have for colors in my stash in abundance. I haven't settled on prices individually or bundle prices (set of 4), but they are going to be a bit more pricey due to the cost of yarn (cotton has increased significantly). I will try to make them as affordable as I can.

Scrap yarn Placemat with fringe. This is my last one to make in a set of 4. The other 3 are done, but I'm not going to win yarn chicken on this one without a similar skein in the stash. Looking for something kinda similar in the stash now so I can finish it
