The other day, my family took a little drive to get out of the house. At one of the stops, there were a ton of Dogwood trees. What a great reminder this was from God to put us in the Easter mindset. We believe that the cross which Jesus Christ was crucified on was made from this special Dogwood tree. If you look closely at the flowers, you can see red stains on each petal in the shape of a cross. This symbolizes the blood at Jesus’ crown, hands, and feet. You wanna know something else really cool? The Dogwood trees blossom just in time in the spring to remember His sacrifice on Easter. About ten feet away from the trees, I walked up on this chalk drawing on the sidewalk. It’s amazing how God can touch our hearts and show us His glory through the little things. Open your eyes to that today in this season. @ Guntown, Mississippi

So in Philippians, Paul writes to the people of Philippi, telling them about how while he was in PRISON, God was still using him to further the Kingdom and spread the gospel. He said that God used him so much that it was known through the ENTIRE palace that Paul was living his life for the Lord while he was behind bars! How crazy is that? Now I know that today we aren’t in prison, but reading this story really hit home for me with the time we are in right now. To put it in perspective, we are temporarily “imprisoned” in our homes as a safety and health hazard. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the frustration of our messed up plans. But it’s good to remember that God is with us and is using us even when we feel like we are locked up. I wanna encourage you to reach out to someone you know might be struggling in this time of isolation. Maybe reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. I’m taking the challenge myself. Let’s use this quarantine for God’s glory. He has already won over any sickness.
