Harper and I snuck in early to The Olive Branch this morning to fill our sweet Dolly girl with 30+ fresh wrapped bundles for your upcoming weekendšŸ¤.

You’ll see an assortment of soft pastel colors through blooms like: ā€œBaby Flowā€ lavender spray roses, ā€œApple Teaā€ standard carnations, peach and pink statice, ā€œBohemianā€ Alstromeria and more as they start to melt into familiar touches of fall through filler flowers like ā€œCandy cornā€ solidago, ā€œOrange sea berry ā€œcelosia and sunflowers.
-All wrapped with love and positive thoughts for you and your families 😘

ā˜•ļøAnd a special thank you to Cultivated Coffee for such a good start to our day. After we dropped off the flowers, Harp and I grabbed drinks from the sweetest baristas and got to enjoy a quiet morning together on the porch sipping on lovingly made drinks, chatting and just enjoying our time together before I took her to school -( 5th grade!??😭🄹)
Time is flying and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the little moments that mean so much.

Have a beautiful end to your week and a restful weekend ahead šŸ¤šŸ’

Dolly is stocked with beautiful summer color and ready to greet you as you walk through the doors of The Olive Branch today šŸ¤.

As our family navigates this new season we’ve unfortunately been asked to walk through, I will be doing my best to keep a gentle rhythm of weekly bouquets available there - Thursdays have always been the usual day for bouquets but I’ll be honest and say that this year could throw some curve balls into my best laid plans.

So I continue to thank you for your patience and all the love shown to us.

I realize it’s been quite some time since my last update about my mama- which I am hopeful to share soon. In the meantime I will say that while we still have an uphill battle ahead of us, the Lord has been near (always).
Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

šŸ’All our love !

šŸ¤Our family update for those that are wishing to follow along.

Grateful to share some good news with you today and continue to ask for prayers in our upcoming week. As of Monday evening, my sweet mama is finally getting to rest and recover in her own home. After 6 nights in the hospital, Im not sure how to even begin to explain to you the week that we just experienced.

After surgery was completed last Tuesday, the surgeons spoke with my dad and I about what all occurred in surgery. The mass was bigger and messier than expected and it was a disappointing sight for them as well. A pint of blood was needed along with other procedures to save affected organs. This left us scared, heartbroken and questioning our capabilities.

Throughout the week, she required a blood transfusion to get her blood count back up from surgery. This went horribly wrong the first time leaving her with an incredibly low blood pressure that made them stop the transfusion-an interaction in medication before the transfusion seemed to be the culprit. She received the pint of blood successfully the next day. She battled extreme nausea, issues with drain tubes, physical therapy and much more.

*I want to take this pause to apologize to anyone who reached out that I may have missed updating as we were going through all this. We saw your messages and appreciated your love and concern deeply.

This week is our post-op meeting with the surgeons where we learn what kind of cancer this really is and our battle plan on how we begin to fight it.

If I went into details about my faith’s journey this week this post would be pages longer than it already is. But I will say that the Lord did show up. In the quietest places. Though honestly at first I couldn’t find or feel Him. And if I’m really really honest ??…. I was so angry and so very hurt that I wasn’t even looking for Him…And I say that being 41 years old as a strong believer sincerely my whole life. Those that know me well can attest to my faith’s tolerance. There have been many bumps in my life’s path long before this day including my mom’s very first battle with breast cancer 16 years ago. This week however took me down to my knees.

Throughout the week I softened to start looking for His movement in our lives and I began to see Him -through the nurses we met, the words from the surgeon, songs mom and I woke up with in our minds, devotionals that seemed to be spot on to our current situation, amazing and healing conversations with friends and my husband, and a sweet interaction with another patient who joined me as I sat in the windowsill outside mom’s room and asked me to pray with him.

I’ve been humbled beyond words to even explain it to you. I don’t know what the future brings this week. I pray for God only to be near to us and continue to provide wisdom, discernment and guidance for the care regarding my mom.

If you’re in the darkness as well, angry and mistrusting- I’ve been told He already knows it and our thoughts. Make it known to Him , yell, scream, say all the things out loud and get it out. I’ve been told He has big shoulders and a good plan.

I don’t even know how to express our gratitude for the meals, the messages, the check-ins, the care packages…the patience from my sweet customers regarding flowers.
We are in tears each day over the kindness friends family and even strangers have shown us.
Thank you šŸ¤

Good afternoonšŸ¤, a little flower update:

šŸ’I will be taking a small pause on our fresh wrapped bouquets that I take weekly to The Olive Branch. They will return to Dolly the week of August 17th. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

In the meantime I’d love to share one of my favorite places with you. I encourage you to actually make the time and enjoy this experience.
Terra Farms has opened their amazing farm to the public again this summer. You can walk their grounds, strolling alongside the flowers they so lovingly planted and pick the ones you want to bring home with you to enjoy. I tell Loni all the time that her farm is special and healingšŸ¤.

Lastly, I’m trying to formulate my words here regarding my sweet mama- this will be for another post.
However, as of last evening she is now finally home after our 6 night stay at the hospital …
Your prayers and love were felt in the darkest moments of this week which unfortunately there were many. We continue to thank you and are so grateful that she is starting to turn a corner toward healing and recovery. ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹

Tonight I’m going to begin the update on my mom with words her surgeon told my dad and I this afternoon-
ā€œGod is still good and prayer still works.ā€

We didn’t receive the miracle we were so fiercely praying and hoping for today.
Our surgeon however thankfully removed 90% of a cancerous tumor that has been plaguing my mother. The rest will be eradicated through chemotherapy. As cancer does, it tried to make its way into other places and because of this, part of her colon needed to be removed to save it.
Certainly not the news we were hoping for.
We will wait to learn more over the coming days about its origin, staging and plans for treatment but right now we focus on rest and recovery.

šŸ¤Tanner and I, my mom and dad and our whole family continue to thank you all for your love and prayers. I apologize I don’t have more words of insight or information to share tonight. We’re in a bit of a fog over here and going to take it day by day.

I sure hope this posts and that you’re able to see it and listen to this song with me tonightšŸ¤. Especially if you are going through your own difficult season of worry or fear.
This evening we are preparing for surgery tomorrow for my precious mom. We got the call this afternoon that our start time is 10:45am. We are ready.

I want to thank each and every single one of you for your love, prayers, support, songs you’ve sent, inspirational posts that made you think of us, cards, every text, message and every call. We absolutely feel the love and your prayers and honestly… it’s what has kept us going this week. I’m sincerely so glad I shared our personal situation with such incredible prayer warriors. We have been so blessed by you.

This evening we are sincerely filled with a sense of calm, peace and hope that only the Lord can provide- just like He said He would, and at just the right time.

For those interested and asking, I will absolutely update you tomorrow afternoon when we finally know more. However… the Lord already knows it all and has prepared the way for us.

šŸ¤šŸ’šŸ¤
ā€œSo I brought it up in a desperate prayer
Lord, why are you keeping me here?
Then He said to me, "Child, I'm planting seeds
I'm a good God and I have a good plan
So trust that I'm holding a watering can
And someday you'll see that flowers grow in the valley
So whatever the reason, I'm barely getting by
I'll trust it's a season knowing that you're by my side
Every step of the way
And I'll be okayā€

My weddings will now take a pause for a bit until starting back up toward the end of August. We are then booked strong throughout the fall. It’s so funny ( God’s timing ) how He built in this lull into my schedule this year. The Lord sure knew my mom would be needing surgery and that I’d need this time off to be with her.

šŸ¤I’d love to share a quiet- behind the scenes moment- from the first part of our wedding season:

Tanner and I are going to be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this October… (20th!?)

For one of our sweet June weddings, we were requested to stay on site to flip ceremony florals to be repurposed in the reception area. During their ceremony Tan and I quietly stood in the background watching and listening to another couple’s new beginning…remembering and being reminded of our own. Knowing all the blessings, struggles, triumphs and even deeper love than this first day that lies ahead. I snapped this picture of us in that little moment.

I was able to then capture the newlywed’s marriage at just minutes old as they walked back down the aisle.🄹

The flowers are so pretty… your day will be amazing …. The marriage …. That’s what it’s all about.

Besides praying that you Absolutley LOVE your flowers, I’m praying over your marriage that day as well.
When I tell you I feel so blessed and honored to be part of your wedding day, I mean it with all my heart and when that day comes, you definitely have two people who value marriage deeply, cheering yours on.

All my love to my past, present and future brides!šŸ¤šŸ¤šŸ¤

We want to wish our dear friends over at The Olive Branch the very best today as they celebrate their anniversary AND grand opening of their brand new space on Eisenhower drive in Hanover!

You aren’t seeing double- Dolly, my flower cart is joined by our second -(Daisy🌼🄰) to bring you fresh wrapped bouquets for this beautiful weekend ahead.

For over 6 years now, I have been blessed with the opportunity to offer you fresh wrapped bouquets weekly through this beautiful space. God’s timing connected me to Rachel a week, if not days after I left my previous career in criminal justice and I have been blessed by our sisterhood in business and friendship ever since.

It was incredible for Harper and I to walk into her brand new space yesterday to set up the flowers. All of their hopes, dreams and prayers in one beautiful building and ready to share with this loving community.

You might not know this, but I just LOVE bringing these bouquets to you🄹. They are my way of connecting with you, sharing the gift and beauty flowers, and my way of helping to spread a little light and love. You really don’t know how much it means to my little family and I when the girls text me -ā€œno more flowers in Dolly!ā€ It means that there is a little bit more softness in your homes, your families and friendships.

So today, please enjoy your coffees(šŸ˜ I can’t wait to try !) the flowers, your shopping experience and the love that the staff so genuinely pours over each of you!

And I’ll leave you with what I tell my sweet Harper Mae,
ā€œLove you more than flowers!ā€šŸ˜˜

Good Thursday morning to youšŸ¤.
First… I cannot thank you all enough, from the bottom of my heart, for your kind messages, your texts, calls …and prayers some of you wrote right here on my page!! šŸ™Œ
Your words are powerful and with tears in our eyes my mom and I read each and every one.

We believe in the power of prayer and I’m sitting here this morning just so incredibly grateful. You have made this waiting week more bearable .

šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øI’d love to finally share some of our photos of the wedding this past weekend …. And this is why professional photographers are so important šŸ«£šŸ˜…. So please overlook the ladders, the makeup bags and spray bottles still in the shots.

My beautiful bride loves hydrangeas ( same!šŸ˜) but what hydrangeas don’t love is the heat. Mother Nature will win every time with outdoor summer weddings, so in a lot of the pics you will still see my ladders up in the background so I could take out the wilted blooms and replace them quick with backup fresh blooms before ceremony time.
I’m so excited to see the professional pics when they come in🄰

ā¤ļøThank you for following along on this incredible ( and very unexpected twisted ) journey.

šŸ¤To my couple,
I cannot begin to thank you enough for your trust in me with your incredible vision. I’m at a loss for words what it meant to me. I pray that your wedding day was spectacular, filled with incredible memories and lots of love … but that your marriage will be even better. Hold on and look to each other through every moment and build your foundation as rock solid as you possibly can. Together you’ll be able to face it all 😘.

šŸ’™To Amanda Lookingbill,
What you and your husband have created and continue to perfect at the LookingBarn is something so special. You are RIGHT where God intends for you to be and your level of care and attention to your couples is profound and like no other. And the love and care you extended to me and my family this week will be stored in my heart forever. Thank you for it all.

07/07/2026

If you’ve been following along recently with my page, you’ve seen us preparing for the largest wedding of my floral career which took place this past weekend. I’m looking forward to sharing more about that with you soonšŸ¤.
Before I do, I prayerfully want to share something more personal first..

Exactly one week before wedding week, my family received some incredibly unsettling news regarding my beautiful mother. And this is where I am asking you for your prayers, your love, support, grace and patience.

Two weeks ago my mom became very ill. Through testing, doctors discovered a large grapefruit size mass in her pelvic region. Three different doctors after analyzing test results have all explained to us that we are facing a cancer diagnosis until proven otherwise through surgery which is scheduled for next Tuesday July 14th.

I can only explain that this past week has been a testing like I have never experienced in my life… and I am saying this from the position of already watching my mom battle breast cancer 16 years ago. - If something could work against us this past week, it would and continues to do so. It tested my resolve, my capabilities, my sanity my peace and in full transparency it shook my mountain sized faith down to a mustard seed …

I’m sharing all of this for a multitude of reasons.
First, I may be delayed in my responses to emails and messages or unable to take on orders. I’m an only child, my priority and focus is on my mama, family and my daughter- it is so important to me how I walk through this next chapter with Harper watching me.

Secondly, I want our situation to help someone else. Satan tried so hard to steal my joy last week- what was supposed to be one of the best weeks of my floral life actually brought me to my knees. Finding the light was difficult. Satan works so hard in the broken places whispering fear and lies and igniting worry, stealing peace and rest. Each day as I prepared for this wedding I reminded myself that God’s timing is perfect. I listened to worship music while I designed, I prayed for my couple and tried to focus my anxious energy into completing their vision to better than the best of my ability.
If Satan is whispering or screaming lies and fear over your own life and circumstances I want to encourage you as well to cast him down. You’re a child of the king - and nobody messes with His kids šŸ˜‰

Lastly , I want to humbly ask for your prayers regarding my mom, my daughter - our entire family as we face whatever might be coming our way.
As we navigate each day leading up
to surgery I’m slowly remembering His promises over my 41 years. Not that He’s going to take this away ( though I’m praying that as well and asking for our family’s miracle) but that He will be right by our side as we face whatever comes.

Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and encouragement. I will update you as we know more in the coming days.
