🚨🚨 Harley-Davidson Origins, DAY 3 🚨🚨

Motor Company employees lined up in front of the single story wood factory, built in 1906, photo taken sometime after September 1907. Some of the men in the photograph are Emil Becker, Edwin "Sherbie" Becker, Albert Becker, Max Kobs, Walter Davidson, Franklin Ollerman, William Davidson, Williams Fisher, Henry Melk, and Arthur Davidson.

Bill Harley is absent from the photograph, as he was working a shift at his job at the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Works.

This photograph shows Oscar Becker in the saddle, Bill Harley sitting with his arms folded, Bill Davidson in the sidecar (Thor-built) and Walter Davidson behind him. Also pictured are Edwin "Sherbie" Becker, who later became head of factory test riders, Bill Knuth, a mechanic at the Milwaukee dealership, Max Kobs, head of early engine assembly, and the owner of the only 1909 Harley V-twin.

Harley-Davidson Origins, DAY 1

The humble first home of Harley-Davidson. "The shack" was a small shed built by William C. Davidson (the father of the three Davidson brothers). Though it was originally intended to serve as a personal workshop, the ambitious Davidson brothers took it over. In 1903, the Davidson brothers, along with William S. Harley, vuilt their first motorcycle.
