Shower seats! Does your shower space benefit from a bench, a corner tiled seat, a moveable seat or a fold down seat?
All the versions have pros and cons we can review what fits your needs!

✅Bench seat with a solid upper slab instead of tile can be easier to clean but feel a little chilly initially.

✅Angled space for your legs is more comfortable than a straight down bench face and easier use for aging in place consideration.

✅ Corner tiled seats or slab be cantilevered to maximize your floor space but consider your reach and cleaning underneath.

✅ Moveable wooden teak seats offer best versatility for small spaces but consider best sturdy bench style legs.

✅Fold down wall attached seats can do double duty with an easy out the way option. Make sure aging in place considerations are met with grasp, pull and push ability.

All that said let’s pair it with a foot rest for shaving and a grab bar for steadiness!

These botanical and nature inspired main house rooms are beautiful and restful spaces

This spring Rendered Homes had the opportunity to design and assist once again for the owners in the design of their spaces for the popular Historic Garden Week: Home and Garden Tour. I’m inspired by the owners own design sense and feel blessed to having moments like these.

Millenial Gray’s preceding trend was termed sad beige but even the Gen Z Brown or Green will have their rotation.

As the cycles do their thing why not find what makes your spark or helps you feel calm and confident about the tried and true color you have in mind?

A key tip is in the color family and interesting texture pairing or accent to make your beloved color stay balanced and refreshing.

These are a few examples of the beige and gray (why not call it Greige) that have some interesting color pairings!

Gray, Black and Cream for highlight contrast
Gray and Teal for mood
Gray and Orange for fresh kick
Gray with Lavender or Royal purple for elegance

Love this small bath refinish! Not a full remodel but updating original dull tile and plain walls.

👉Original built in cabinet storage needed a spotlight accent paint finish and contrasting hardware.

👍New wallpaper and black painted window casing balance accent wall to enhance tub at the window.

👌Original vanity stayed but light fixture updated to be matte black to bring out two other wall accents.

🙌Why the changes work:
Now All three walls have small but impactful contrast in details of “black” and give the original tile floor a little more interest.
This is because the original tile floor became the larger “supporting mid tone color”, rather than the only focal point. Wallpaper wall as the main accent with the black as the unifying contrast!

Found them! Wool rugs! Black's Paint and Floor Covering has a lovely display of the nicest quality of hand tufted wool and wool blend rugs. You must touch and feel.

Ever since I can remember we have had wool rugs growing up and it can handle life’s messes, the liquid resistance, fire resistance, moisture wicking properties, not to mention the longer life span (up to 25 years).

These finishes just inspire with natural characteristics like that!

And the colors and patterns are wonderful in this set.
