Blue Celestite (also known as Celestine) is a strontium sulfate mineral famed for its ethereal, pale sky-blue hues and celestial energy. Highly prized by collectors and crystal enthusiasts, it commonly forms translucent, radiating crystals inside hollow geodes. Derived from the Latin word caelestis (meaning "heavenly"), its color often inspires associations with divine peace, mindfulness, and the angelic realm. While clusters are relatively abundant, fine, transparent gemstones are harder to find. The highest-quality, vivid blue specimens are predominantly sourced from Madagascar, while the Lake Erie region of the United States produces unique, pale blue-and-white crystals. This beautiful piece was found in Stoneco Quarry Lime City, Wood County, Ohio.

Uruguayan amethyst is renowned globally for its exceptional, deeply saturated dark purple hues and high crystal clarity, largely rivaling or surpassing the quality of amethyst found in neighboring Brazil. Mined primarily in the volcanic basalt flows of the Artigas region, these striking crystals range from small display clusters to massive, museum-quality geodes over five meters tall. Because Uruguay produces a smaller volume than neighboring heavyweights like Brazil, its amethyst is prized for its rarity and premium coloring. ❤️

Mohawkite is an exceptionally rare, naturally occurring mineral mixture composed predominantly of copper, arsenic, and smaller quantities of nickel, cobalt, and silver. First discovered in 1900, it is found in only one place on Earth: the Keweenaw Peninsula in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It is not officially recognized by the International Mineralogical Association as a standalone mineral. Instead, it is a combination of copper arsenides, predominantly algodonite and domeykite.

It exhibits a distinct metallic luster with colors ranging from brassy-yellow and bronze to metallic gray. It often features a blue or greenish surface tarnish from oxidation. It is quite soft, registering only \(3\) to \(3.5\) on the Mohs hardness scale. Mohawkite frequently occurs within a white quartz matrix; when the metallic deposits form radiating, snowflake-like patterns within this white quartz, it is colloquially referred to as "Snowflake Mohawkite". ❤️
