My customers are my number one priority. I hope all of you know that. Sometimes, things happen that are simply beyond my control.
I have been in business for four years and never had to cancel a customer's order before.
Until today.
I received a custom order for a special event. I ordered the material I needed to complete the order and it was lost in transit. Because of this even if I reorder the item, there is no way I can guarantee my customer would get her product in time. Sending her that message was hard.
Sometimes, things are simply out of my control.
This customer was referred to me by another customer who is also a friend. Double whammy. They thought enough of me and my work to recommend me, and I feel like I double failed.
Things like this are the absolute hardest part of what I do.
Big shout out to USPS for ruining my day, making me look bad, and leaving my customer in a jam.

Look, I love my husband. I support his chainsaw art. But I CANNOT live another day under the unblinking, soul-piercing gaze of this creature.
I’ve officially named him Cursed Cletus (or Ebenezer the Unforgiving—feel free to give him your own demonic alias), and he has single-handedly ruined my life this week.
☕ Morning coffee on the porch? Ruined. He’s staring.
🍷 Evening glass of w**e to unwind? Canceled. He’s judging every sip I take with those tiny, dead yellow eyes.
Seriously, LOOK AT THOSE EYES. Why are they staring into the deepest, darkest depths of my subconscious?! I swear if I turn my back on him, he moves two inches closer. I can’t live like this.
He can be YOUR problem for $100. Please. I am begging you.
Quick question before someone rescues me: Should we paint his coveralls black, or will that just give him a full-blown pumpkin-headed slasher villain aesthetic? Let me know in the comments.
