A small studio built on luck, scraps, late nights and a bit of chaos. My name is Abbye Danielle. I’m a Hernando native and a Fine Arts graduate from the University of Mississippi. In my personal life I’m a mom to two little ones, doing what moms do: figuring it out and making it work. In my professional life, things got complicated for a while and creating took a backseat, but I’m back on my feet doing what I love. I’ve always believed that creativity isn’t a talent you’re born with — it’s a skill anyone can learn. Given the right tools and a little encouragement, people surprise themselves by their ability to create something from scraps of nothing. That’s the heart of Lucky Remnants Studios. Right now I teach sewing workshops and classes out of a local church and my home studio here in Hernando. I also sell my own handmade art and sewing projects through this page. However, the vision is bigger than that. I want to offer a wide range of creative workshops and classes across all kinds of mediums, building a space where DeSoto county residents can come together and create things. We’re not there yet, but we’re building toward it one remnant at a time. If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, follow along. We’re just getting started.
