Hi everyone! I'm Steph, the one-woman-show behind She's So Tacky.

While I am in my waiting room for my own horse dreams (I just recently started lessons at 32, but have loved horses and everything about them my entire life), I've seen a huge need for consignment services within the Hickory area since The Hickory Horse Hut closed many years ago! As a SAHM to 2 littles under 3, I've got the needed time to spare, and as someone who has worked almost her entire working years in either retail or marketing (usually both), I've got the needed background and knowledge to get items moving! In fact, my first side-hustle aside from pet sitting was reselling vintage!

I take care of the nitty gritty, you reap the rewards!

A shift is happening but it's going to bring so much good! She's So Tacky is on trajectory to become THE go-to for all your equestrian consignment needs, and a few other fun things within the works!

Basic cleaning services will still be provided as-needed. but my primary focus is on consignment. I have been blessed with a little one who loves me and feels so safe with me she apparently wishes I was a kangaroo and could carry her in a pouch 24/7 😂 While this has made continuing tack cleaning difficult, snapping product photos and listing them are much easier!

Our first ✨victim✨ 😉

Vintage 11” kid’s saddle. It’s in need of a fender repair (taken off at the moment) and a new stirrup aside from a major glow-up, BUT, the tree is not broken so there is hope with a little bit of leatherwork and elbow grease 🙌🏽

This is a personal project and will likely end up as decor, but I will still be documenting the process in-between client items! 😊

Hi everyone! Allow me to introduce myself as your new equine services BFF 😉
My name is Steph, life-long Horse Girl and newer equestrian to the Western scene (I started weekly lessons 2 months ago) 👋 I'm also a wife, mother and designer when I'm not riding or working!
I started She's So Tacky to fill a much-needed, well, need within the equine community for Hickory and surrounding area. No more just wiping your gear down because you don't have time, or swearing to yourself every time you have to move that mountain of old gear to get to something you need in the tack room.
✨I got you!✨
I am excited to begin taking clients and putting my years of experience working with vintage leather as a fashion reseller back to good use, but for equestrian gear instead!
