Had an incredible time at the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run Block Party last night! The exotic performance-boat hardware on display, with contributions from DCB Performance Marine, MTI, Mystic, Nor-Tech, Sunsation and Skater, was like nothing I've ever seen – even surpassing the annual Miami and Fort Lauderdale boat shows. Mercury Racing also showed up to deck up the scene! 🛥
Despite the lingering smoke from Canadian wildfires, the cool 70-degree air kept the vibe delightful. Not to mention, it's amazing how much was packed onto a single waterfront block without feeling cluttered.
Tonight's outdoor dinner celebration expects to be jam-packed with Make-A-Wish presentations and an auction as we rally to raise funds for next year’s wishes! 💞
Trust me when I say, boat shows could take a leaf out of this event's book – it's a refreshing change from traditional boat shows, with the right target audience and much more relaxed experience than slogging through convention centers. 🍃 📷: Jeff Helmkamp (Helmkamp Photos)
