Saturday, September 26th, USA made jacket company BRIT & BLUE is coming to Avontuur for a custom tailoring event!

Designed in Kentucky, Made in Upstate New York. Husband and wife team, Eric and Kathie Adams, created Kentucky based Brit & Blue as a way of interweaving two very different inspirations. The first is their love of fine tailoring, particularly that done in Britain. The second is an upbringing in America’s heartland where a relentless work ethic in the coal mines and farm fields has for generations been the path to a respectable way of life. The result of this melding of sensibilities is the Brit & Blue Signature Jacket, a garment that is widely considered to be the finest duck cloth jacket in the world. Every Brit & Blue is designed by Eric and Kathie in Kentucky and then crafted in Upstate New York at the oldest tailoring house in the United States.

Last week, we had the opportunity to host Manufacture Good Learn more below! ⬇️

At Manufacture Good, we integrate meaningful workforce development experience with both personal and spiritual growth. The young men that come into our program are improving their lives by learning how to serve as a highly skilled tradesmen and as thoughtful community members. To cultivate workforce talent, apprentices support the production of custom furniture which is designed and made right here in our local Birmingham woodshop.
Our ministry continues to be funded by all of the people who purchase our furniture and those who donate because they know the ‘good’ we are manufacturing in men’s lives and in our communities. We’re both inspired and grateful to see first-hand the positive impact that meaningful training and employment can have on the young men in our program.
