In Filipino culture, “Did you eat yet?” isn’t just a question — it’s how we show love. It’s our way of saying we care, we’re thinking of you, and you’re always welcome at our table.

Over the past year, we’ve learned, grown, and listened — each dinner teaching us more about how to serve our guests with intention. Our mission remains the same: to be a blessing to others through the art of elevated Filipino dining and hospitality.

Now, we begin a new chapter.
Lumikha is officially operating at A 2nd Cup Café, a nonprofit coffee shop run by United Against Human Trafficking (UAHT) — an organization whose mission aligns with our values of compassion, hospitality, and community. Together, we stand against human trafficking, in Houston and beyond, honoring both our Filipino roots and our shared humanity. 🇵🇭❤️

2nd Cup Cafe is where it’s at. Lumikha is back. We never went away so let us contribute to the kind of joy that doesn’t lack. Go reserve a table so we can serve you. Seek and you shall find, ask and the door will be opened. You’re already changing the world by coming to eat with us.

First days and last days at our downtown kitchen studio. We have reached the end of our lease and we decided to not renew. Not because we want to discontinue, quite the opposite. We barely scratched the surface of our objectives. But considering we only opened 3 days a week for only 1 seating of 10 a night, it was an incredibly productive year.

The guests that we had walked through our front door were nothing short of amazing. Really a head scratcher. We’ve had prominent food writers, world-class chefs, politicians but also, we grew friendships and expanded our team.

Thank you for filling up our seats every single night.

We are taking a short break but will open our reservations back on November. We cannot wait to share what we have cooking up for Lumikha 2.0.

Stay tuned. Bigger things are yet to come.
