A little something for the birds! 🦅

I created this sterling silver falcon necklace especially for Fort Bend Wildlife Rescue's Whiskers & Wings Brunch, where it will be up for grabs in the silent auction!

Inspired by Marge, a beautiful Kestral/Barbary hybrid who will be part of the event's falconry demonstration, this sterling silver necklace features a falcon in flight, suspended from an adjustable-length paperclip chain with a lobster clasp.

Wildlife rescue is a cause near and dear to my heart, and I'm always happy when I can use my jewelry making skills to support the people doing the hard work of caring for animals in need.

The fundraiser takes place November 15th at TPC Houston in Sugar Land, with brunch, a silent auction, a falconry flight demonstration featuring Marge herself, and a chance to meet some of Fort Bend Wildlife Rescue's animal ambassadors!

This Saturday is Second Saturday at , and I’ll be opening the doors to Fortuitous Fine Jewelry and Houston Tooth Gems from 12–5pm.

If you haven’t visited my new little corner of Sabine Street Studios yet, come say hi, see where I work, and shop jewelry I’ve made in person. You can also peek around my workbench and see what I’ve been working on lately. (Snooping is encouraged.)

And there’s a LOT more to see while you’re here. Quite a few of my fellow artists at Sabine Street Studios will have their doors open to visitors, plus we currently have THREE art exhibitions in our building and even more happening throughout the other Sawyer Yards buildings.

Best part? It’s all free.

Apparently moving into a new studio wasn’t quite expensive enough, so the universe decided we also needed an impressive stack of vet bills. 🫠🐾

The good news: Pippi had an echocardiogram this week to investigate her heart murmur, and she doesn’t need heart medication at this time. 🎉

The not-so-good news: Trixie hasn’t been feeling well, so we headed back to the vet. X-rays found a mass in her abdomen. Next up is an ultrasound to figure out exactly what we’re dealing with, plus an echocardiogram because of her CHF to determine whether she can safely undergo anesthesia if surgery is needed.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Battle Royale Tattoo HTX bon voyage party to say goodbye (but hopefully not forever) on Saturday.
