After eight years away, we’re excited to return to the community that welcomed us with open arms and helped shape our journey. Took a break in 2018 and is now back via online only and Pop Up Markets. Home consultations available to home owners, builders, and commercial business.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the second day of our two-day Paper Mâché Sacred Heart Workshop at Barrio Antiguo Designs with artist Ernesto Guerra.

Everyone had an incredible time creating their own personal corazones, each one reflecting unique feelings, memories, and stories. It was inspiring to watch these beautiful pieces come to life and see the creativity and heart that each participant poured into their work.

We are grateful for all of you who spent your time with us and helped make this workshop so special. We’re excited to welcome our next class next week and look forward to meeting every one of you as we continue creating, learning, and building community together.

Barrio Antiguo Designs had the honor of hosting the Houston Texans’ 2026 Día de Mu***os merchandise commercial photo shoot at our shop! #

A huge thank you to my dear friend Claudia “La Catrina Fina,” a true Catrina icon, for recommending our space. It was also exciting to see La Juany, owner of Rock’Em, participating in the shoot.

We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as the backdrop for a campaign that celebrates culture, tradition, and community. After just a little over a month of reopening our storefront, opportunities like this continue to remind me that dreams really do come full circle.

Stay tuned for the commercial—I believe it will debut during an upcoming Texans game! In the meantime, make sure to grab your Día de Mu***os gear from the Texans Team Shop.
