A little boho…. a little art nouveau…

This chartreuse suite with an elongated formal invite includes detailed botanical elements and linework that I like to think is a minimalist’s take on a maximalist design style- art nouveau.

I love a sneaky couples photo on the back of the save the date, too!

More work of art than invitation- I aimed to capture old world elegance in a new light with this layered, intentional piece.

Rich in detail and hidden meaning, the design features a collection of illustrations tucked into every corner. From low-country favorites like oysters and Sandhill cranes (which mate for life), to the couple’s rings alongside their ceremony pergola, every element tells a story.

The artwork also includes nods to their historic venue, William Aiken House. Their stately magnolia tree, an antique tabletop clock adored by the bride, and the ballroom chandelier all make appearances. Of course the raspberry border was *also* thoughtfully inspired- this time by WAH’s stunning bathroom wallpaper.

I knew from the first round of mockups that this one would be special! And, if you can believe it, it’s even more jaw-dropping alongside the other pieces that make up this suite🤍

On site vs in watercolor🌦️🩷🎨

Erica stole my artist’s heart with her love of watercolor. Including custom artwork throughout the invitation suite was one of her top priorities. So much so, that we featured a painting of their venue, Switzer Farm, on the back of the invitation.

We (very literally) embraced the idea that their suite was so beautiful, it could be framed as art. The result was a special keepsake for guests to remember their time in Mendocino, celebrating Erica and Parker.

I loved seeing The Kelly’s custom crest front and center on their welcome sign, which doubled as a guestbook!
