Edukos Honey

Edukos Honey Years ago I began donating money through my church to send children to school in Rwanda. I realized that more help was needed. Edukos is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

We have begun to raise bees and sell local raw honey. All proceeds help pay children's tuition.

Good afternoon and happy Sunday everyone. Once again we have been able to provide all of these children and many more like them with a roof over their head while they attend school proper desks to sit in and also a nutritious and hot meal to eat. I look forward to seeing y'all in a couple weeks when I set up the honey stand again. See you then.

Good morning y'all. This is basically what it felt like yesterday at the honey stand. I personally feel it was well worth it and would do it all over again because with your help we are closer to our goal for the month. It seems that the addition of glass jars to our lineup was well accepted and appreciated by many. Many folks seem to be concerned about microplastics and we will continue carrying them. Thank y'all again for all your support and especially the donations.

I now have 1 lb and 2 lb glass jars of honey for sale in the traditional "Queen line" jars. Today's price is $12 and $24. So far they are the hot ticket item along with our cinnamon cream honey. I hope to be here until 2:00 today and if the breeze continues I believe this will be possible.

Hey y'all. Today is Monday August 17th and I just got back from "Artistic signs" in lovely League City Texas. Artistic signs do all of our t-shirts and banners and sandwich shop signs like shown here. I intend to have our honey stand open this Saturday around 8:00 am. In front of Bay harbor United Methodist Church located at the corners of FM 518 and South shore here in League City Texas.

Glass people, you know who you are ;), I will have 1 lb and 2 lb "traditional glass jars" filled with our local Tallow honey available. These are the old school Queen line jars like some of you have been asking for. True glass jars with metal lids will be available especially for you.

We have free samples of our honey and that includes our cream honey. We do not whip our creamed honey, we slow churn it so that the crystals grind together allowing for a smooth and tasty product. See y'all Saturday, and thanks again for all you do to help us help others.

Hey y'all here's what we have going on. I'm showing two pictures of the same class on the same day. You have probably noticed we have children sitting on the floor eating. These are not children that attend our school but instead these are children that came to the school and we're invited in for a meal. The simple truth is that so many children are starving for so many things. I'm sure it took a lot from within these young children to come up to the gates of the school and ask to be fed. We have wonderful people in our school who welcomed these children with open arms. I'm sure all of us will agree that if our neighbor's child came to us and needed something as simple as a plate of food we would definitely welcome them to our table. Matthew 25:40 pretty much sums it up for us.
I anticipate being back in town before the end of the month at which time I plan to have the honey stand open for business as usual. Until then, if you have a honey emergency, please feel free to visit one of our wonderful "local mom and pop businesses" that sell our honey for us. La India Bonita, The kolache bakery and Java with Jesus all have recently been restocked. All three of these are locally owned and operated businesses and the coffee shop is also a non-profit. All three are wonderful places are operated by fine folks. Thank you again for supporting our educational mission in Rwanda and closer to home in Galveston county. See ya soon.

At 1025 East main Street there is a small non-profit and it is operated by the same wonderful people that own the wellness center next door. So why do I tell you this? Because they are our latest Mom and Pop retailer to sell our local honey.

Here's something that I need to tell y'all about this year's honey crop. I have moved up to an 800 micron screen while straining the honey. What this means is there will be more pollens and other natural good stuff in each bottle. Because I do not pasteurize or super filter the honey it will crystallize a little bit quicker so simply read the label on the back of the bottle if this happens. Most of you good people tell me that it does not last that long to crystallize. (Thank you)

I changed the screen we use because so many of you find folks are really seeking as much pollen to combat your allergies and whatnot. I do not pasteurize it because it's important to us to allow all of the enzymes to survive for a healthier product. The honey Stan will not be open for several weeks because I'm on the road taking care of business. Happy August to everyone.

Good morning everyone. I would like to take a moment and welcome New beginnings to our wonderful group of mom and pop retailers that carry our local honey. It will start off by selling our 1 lb and 1/2 lb bottles. New beginnings is directly connected with the coffee shop next door. This is a delightful location to sit back and read a book or if you have a small group of friends and need a place to meet and discuss your projects and ideas they have both indoor and outdoor meeting areas. I strongly urge all of you to stop by and check these fine folks out. I do know that the coffee shop is a non-profit like myself and helps countless people throughout the community. I hope you enjoy your experience with them as much as I did.

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than to have a few guests over for a picnic. I set about 20 plus supers outback that just finished extracting. The girls will clean them up nicely and after a little bit of scraping the nooks and crannies clean from the propolis they will be ready to store for winter. All the colonies have two mediums left on them together what fall flow may come in. Happy 4th of July to everyone and Happy 250th birthday to America.

Hello everyone. I sent our "child support payment" out on Monday morning. These funds will provide the school children a well balanced hot meal every day for the entire month. Thank you so much for your support by purchasing our local honey. I have been restocking the shelves at the wonderful mom and pop stores here in League City. More on that later.
