There’s just something about coming home after a really good trip and feeling excited for what’s ahead. ❤️
Before we left for Dallas, we finally had the new flooring installed in our observation room, and I still can’t believe what a difference it made! That room has slowly evolved into so much more than an observation room, and the new floor makes it feel finished and comfortable instead of like a garage-type space. Even watching the kids play on the floor makes me so glad we finally did it.
Then it was off to Dallas Market! Emily, Brandi and I had such a successful buying trip. We were able to spend time with vendors we already love, discover some new artists, and bring home some really unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that I’m so excited about.
And THANK YOU to everyone who shopped our Dallas Lives! You actually helped us buy. Being able to see what you were loving in real time gave us a pretty good indication of what was going to be popular, and in several cases we were able to turn around and reorder while we were still there.
Apparently we bought well, because our first Monday Live back home was an absolute HIT. 😂 I was already on the phone with vendors yesterday reordering certain pieces! I’m so glad you’re loving the new artists and collections as much as we are.
While Emily, Brandi and I were running around Dallas, Taylor held down the fort at home, and honestly, one of the fun parts of the trip was sneaking onto her Lives from Dallas—or even from the airport—and seeing what she was up to. Of course, she managed to sneak some new arrivals onto the Lives while we were gone too. 😂
Now we’re HOME, and life has switched right back into farm-and-family mode.
We’ve had vet appointments, we’re getting the farm back in line, prepping to start homeschool, cleaning the house, catching up on the yard, and getting ready because Payden’s birthday is Friday!
And truthfully, this is probably my favorite time of year in Michigan. The nights start getting cool, the days are still warm, and Michigan really outdoes itself in August, September and October. These are our state’s highlight months, and you’re probably going to see a LOT more outside content from us because I don’t want to waste them!
We’re still hoping to squeeze in a few more lake days, and we have an up-north horse weekend at Cow Camp planned with rodeos and roping something we always look forward to.
It feels like one season is wrapping up while another one is just beginning. New artists. New inventory. Homeschool. Birthdays. Horses. Farm projects. Cooler nights. And hopefully a few more summer days mixed in.
We’re excited for all of it, and so thankful you’re here for the ride. ❤️
