Hey Y'all!! I'm looking forward to tonight's event, if you want an invite, there is still time. It is going to be about wellness and essential oils. I mentioned that I would be breaking up some of the information in some posts throughout the day. I feel it's important to know that reason for my event tonight and why I feel it's so important to share with each of you. I really do care about the health of everyone and your wellness.
So let’s talk about chemical, toxin free living. I will share a little more about my journey to live a more natural lifestyle with you this evening, but I will say that really being more aware of the products in my household is a more recent part of the journey for me. I took more of the scenic route to get to reading labels on products in my home, where nutritionally, I have been reading labels a much longer time.
I didn’t realize how scary these products were until I became invested in it and started researching for myself. I really started learning more once I began using Young Living products. The game changer for me was the Thieves Cleaner. It ignited a fire under me to dig in and see what we are applying to our bodies, surfaces, and all around the home. I was disgusted with what I started to uncover.

Did you know the average person applies approximately 300 chemicals to their bodies every single day, 80 of those before breakfast! Within 26 seconds after application, they can be found in your bloodstream. Most of those are from these main offenders: soap, makeup, shampoo, lotion, and hair care products. These products are being absorbed through the skin and into your bloodstream! Then there are the biggest pollutants in your home: dryer sheets, fabric softener, laundry detergent, air freshener, plug-ins, and candles. Your body has to work harder to try and detox itself because of all of these chemicals and toxins leaching into your bloodstream and being inhaled into your lungs and body. If your body is working hard trying to rid itself of chemicals you are slathering on it, it cannot give its full attention to healing your body when it comes under attack from an illness. It has a huge effect on your immune system and how it can and will respond.

The number two cause of death in the United States is cancer. Cancer sucks and I am sure that you all know or love someone who has been affected by it. Approximately 1,620 people a day die from cancer. One in three cases in the United States are directly linked to poor diet, physical inactivity, weight, or chemical exposure. The American Cancer Society says only 5% to 10% of all cancer cases are from gene defects. That means that 95% of cancer cases are under our control. It’s what we allow into our homes, put onto and into our bodies. Beyond cancer there are other illnesses that are linked to or believed to be linked to chemical exposures. Take aluminum for instance, found in your deodorant, scientists believe it may be linked to Alzheimers and Parkinson’s disease.

More staggering statistics, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health studied 2,983 ingredients in our products at home, and found 884 toxic ingredients. 314 of them caused biological mutations, 218 caused reproductive issues, and 778 were toxic to the human body. They knew 146 caused cancerous tumors but were allowed in the United States even though they are banned in other countries around the world. Many of these chemicals are allowed in your cleaning products!

Did you know that there are over 100,000 chemicals on the market today? Did you know that the Toxic Substance Control Act of 1976 protected those chemicals in use “deemed safe” before the Act by grandfathering them in? In 2016 there was an amendment to the Act which states that EPA can now require testing and reports, but as an "industrial chemical substance" law, TSCA does not apply to certain to***co products, foods, food additives, drugs, cosmetics, and substances used solely as pesticides. Yes, these toxic chemicals are not just found in your cleaning and cosmetic products but also in your food! If you started researching, you would be appalled by the chemicals and additives allowed into your food in the United States, that are banned in several countries around the world.

Since the 1940’s, prostate cancer is up 200%, thyroid cancer 155%, brain cancer 70%, which the American Cancer Society estimated a 50% increased rise in cancer rates this year! That is staggering and terrifying to read!

While cancer is one of the catastrophic effects of your body being chemically overloaded, most of us will feel it in other ways: fatigue, lethargy, brain fog, trouble sleeping, stress, anxiety, pain, inflammation, headaches, acne, skin issues like eczema, frequent sickness, yeast/candida, and the inability to focus. If you are impacted by any of these issues, it is time to clear out the toxins and chemicals in your home. You are the gatekeeper and can control what goes into your home and onto your and your family’s bodies.

It may seem like an overwhelming task at hand, but start small. Choose one thing to swap out each month. Start cleaning up your laundry products, then your cleaners used on your home, then cosmetics, then household products like soaps and hair products, and of course your food. Remember laundry products and items like plug-ins, candles, and air fresheners are some of the most toxic products. You can also download a super helpful app on your phone called “Think Dirty.” I’m able to look at products found in stores and also get clean product recommendations.

One of the many reasons I love Young Living is not only can I trust the company and their quality and cleanliness of products, but that they provide several different lines of products that you can easily start implementing in your home. I will follow up this post with some information on some of their incredible lines as well as another company that I trust and love using in my home!
See you all tonight!! & don't forget to like and comment on posts throughout the day to have your name entered into the drawing for a fun giveaway!! 😘❤️

Did you know that the largest skin pores are on the bottom of your feet? The soles of the feet are a focal point of nerve endings and a direct access to organs in your body. It's no wonder that applying oils directly to your feet has so many benefits. Not only can it absorb into your body quicker, but as mentioned above is a link to nerve endings.
I especially am a big proponent of applying oils to the bottoms of my feet when I feel I have been exposed to someone who may be sick or when I feel I might have a cold coming on myself. Aside from immunity benefits, there are other healing benefits by adding oils to different areas of your feet.
I am also a big believer in grounding or earthing. Studies show the incredible amount of benefits you receive by walking around barefoot outside. All of spring, summer, and so far for the fall, me and the little ones have been barefoot all day long. Not only soaking up the vitamin D from the sun, but soaking in the benefits of the earth. Some of the many benefits that may be experienced through regular grounding are:
Reducing inflammation
Reducing chronic pain
Speeds healing- used in some places to prevent bed sores
Improving Sleep and reduce snoring
Shortening recovery time from injury or athletic activity
Increasing Energy
Lowering stress and promoting calmness by reducing stress hormones
Normalizing biological rhythms including circadian rhythm
Normalizing blood pressure and blood flow
Relieving muscle tension and headache
Improving menstrual and female hormone symptoms
Reducing jet lag
Protecting the body from effects of EMFs
Helping support adrenal health
Here is a published study on this concept if you want a scientific read.

Are any of you grounding yet? If not, are you going to start now?😉

Happy Fall!! I have been taking a little break from social media to enjoy the rest of the summer and focus in on the little ones. I also needed a break from the overwhelming negativity posted every day. I'm sure I'm not the only one. 😅
I also began the journey of homeschooling my almost 6 year old. I have been feeling God tugging on my heart to homeschool and then when all of this covid hit, I knew that was what I was being called to do. We have been using The Good and The Beautiful curriculum and it's been really great overall. Yesterday, we had one of the more stressful days just bc he was tired and didn't seem to be able to listen or focus as much as I'd hope. But see, that's the beauty of homeschooling. We can make the changes daily that we need to and he can make sure he's still getting done what he needs to, and I can diffuse for the moods (yesterday was Stress Away and Frankincense for nerve calming and grounding). Generally we take 1.5-2 hours a day max to do his school work and the rest of the day is play and outdoors. Can't ask for much better.... well maybe for my 19 mo old to take naps.... 45 min once a day does not count.😒
I've also been taking time to start utilizing different oils and trying to see what ones I notice differences with. I definitely noticed big differences with my facial serum, hair tonic, and eyelash/brow serum I made. My eyebrows have not been this full since probably middle school, when I plucked the poor life out of them.😩😊
I'll share some of those on here soon so that you can see if they work for you too. I'd love to hear what you've been using this summer as well! 🤩
Have a fantastic week everyone and look out soon for a online live class I'll be hosting. I'd love to have you. If you'd like to join, send me a message. There will be a giveaway!! 😍

Let's talk about sunburns! If you're like me, you don't realize you're burning until, well, you're burnt. I try to be aware of how much time we spend in the sun, but sometimes we are having so much fun that I don't realize time is passing by so quickly.
We've all been getting a good sun base so that we can be out a little longer but still run into occasional burns. Burns suck and they know how to ruin a good time.this After Sun Spray is a must have for the summer so that your party isn't pooped on. Usually within 24-48 hours, your skin should be feeling 100% with this awesome mixture!
In a 4 oz spray bottle mix 15d Lavender, 15d Peppermint, 2 oz Aloe Vera, and 1.5 oz Witch Hazel. Add geranium if you've got it, for extra pain relief!

Why does it work?? Peppermint is an anti-inflammatory and vasoconstriction, narrowing the inflamed blood vessels; also giving a cooling effect which helps ease the burning sensation. Lavender is also an anti-inflammatory, promotes skin regeneration, moisturizes, and reduces symptoms of pain, redness, and swelling. Lastly Aloe Vera moisturizes and also has anti-inflammatory properties. Your skin will thank you! Shake well and spray/apply liberally!!☀️🏝🌴🏖

Next up for the summer DIY must haves - "Itchy Roll-On" itch relief blend 🦟🤛
If you're like me, I tend to space on putting on the bug spray until I start seeing the mosquitoes biting....or in some cases, completely forget to pack it and well you all know itchy bug bites are a quick way to ruin summer fun. 😢🙅‍♀️
This must have roller blend is small, which makes it easy to throw in your purse or bag. My oldest will ask for it anytime he's got an itch... I love my oily baby's!!😍
This blend has just four simple ingredients: Lavender, Tea Tree, Frankincense, and Fractionated Coconut Oil. That's it!! The great thing is that 2 of those oils you should already have from your YL starter kit. Tea Tree was one of the oils I bought right after signing up bc of the MANY uses it has! Here's why this blend is so great-

Lavender is a natural anti-inflammatory so it helps reduce itching, swelling, and redness associated with bug bites. Bonus is that it's a great moisturizer.
Tea Tree is also anti-inflammatory and has anti-microbial properties to protect from infection that the itching may cause due to breaking the skin or from the bite itself. It's great at drying up problem causing bacteria so it can cause dryness, but thanks to the lavender you can combat that side effect.
Frankincense is known for its powerful ability to alleviate pain and regenerate cells. Itching and scratching will cause cellular disruptions so this powerhouse oil is perfect for healing abilities.
Add your oils and fill the rest of the way with coconut oil or your choice of carrier oil, shake well and apply!! 😘😘..

**"Bug Off" & "Bug Off, Baby" available for purchase!!**
I had a few inquiries after my DIY bug spray post, asking how much to just buy some. I worked up some different pricing to try and make it simple.
I have two different pricing structures for the adult "Bug Off" spray - 4 oz glass spray bottle. One has Geranium and the other one has Spearmint. Both are great at keeping bugs away. I love the smell of Geranium so I tend to put that in my own. All are young living oils which are as pure as you can get!!
Ingredients in bottle 1. Witch Hazel, Water, Lavender, Lemongrass, Geranium, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Patchouli, & Citronella - price $10
Ingredients in bottle 2. Witch Hazel, Water, Lemongrass, Lavender, Spearmint, Rosemary, & Eucalyptus - price $8
Info for "Bug Off, Baby" spray - 4 oz glass spray bottle with Witch Hazel, Water, Lavender, Geranium, Spearmint, Citronella, & Cedarwood - price $7
Pick up is in McCordsville, I also go to Walton at least every other week so I could drop off In Kokomo or Walton. 😘😘 Let me know if you want a bottle!!..

First up for my DIY summer must haves is "Buzz Off" & "Buzz Off, Baby". 🦟☠
OFF! and other mainstream bug sprays contain nasty chemicals like deet and harmful fragrances. If you didn't know, a lot of companies hide toxic ingredients under the umbrella term "fragrance"or "parfum", among other names. Some that even claim to use essential oils are deceiving as you don't know how clean those are and for me, I am very careful about what I put on and in my family's body.
Once we were headed into summer last year I knew we needed protection from insects and so I got to work on creating my own using my super clean and trusted Young Living oils. I started researching plants that mosquitoes and ticks in particular hated. Also bonus if other insects like flies and gnats stayed away.
I tried to utilize oils that not only smelled good, but that hit on those two insects hating. I also needed to create one that is diluted and made with kid friendly oils for my little ones.
I made up 2 different blends that we all love. I can't tell you the amount of complements I receive on how good it smells when I am using it. I also have used it on us and then watched some of my family who didn't, get bombarded with bugs. Needless to say they asked for it pretty quickly!🙃
I'm super impressed with how effective it works and I can't express how happy I am that it is clean!! Always shake well before applying and then rub in. See below for my two different blends!

"Buzz Off" for 10 years old+:
Lavender, Lemongrass, Geranium, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Patchouli, Citronella (free 15ml bottle this past month for ER order!!) *for adults 40-50 drops of oil collectively*- in a 4 oz spray bottle mix in 2 oz of witch hazel, your oils, and then follow up with distilled water. Make sure to shake well before applying and rub in.

"Buzz Off, Baby" for 2 years old+:
Lavender, Geranium, Spearmint, Citronella, & Cedarwood *for kids always dilute according to age, I did about 25 drops but I've been using oils on my littles for a while and chose very safe ones for this mixture*- in a 4 oz spray bottle mix in 2 oz witch hazel, your oils, and then follow up with distilled water. Make sure to shake well before applying and rub in.

There are plenty of oils you can use! If you only have starter kit oils, you can use Lavender, Lemon, and Peppermint - those three are also great for allergies so it's a win win!!😁
Let me know if you'd like my full recipe with my drops of oils used or if you'd like more information on getting signed up with Young Living. We have an incredible team and it is honestly one of the best investments I've made in my family and our health!!😘😘.

Hubby's birthday is today, so we went camping this weekend in Obi-Wan Vanobi in . Our campspot was beautiful and we had so much fun mountain biking and spending time together.
I'm so thankful for our family trips and even more thankful that we can relax and sleep in our van during these hot summer nights. 🙌🙏
The last few trips we are sure to pack our noise machine (serious lifesaver since we all sleep with noise machines or fans at home), the most adorable and awesome YL Sweet Aroma diffuser (has 2 settings to meet our needs), bug bomb diffuser mix using my Young Living oils (no bugs were in the van - keeps them all away so sleep is peaceful), peace & calming of course bc I cant unwind sometimes without it, and my homemade oily bug spray. I am so impressed with how my yummy oils keep the gnats, mosquitos, flies, etc away. Last trip I didnt remember to spray it one day and we paid with some ticks on us. This time, we made sure not to traipse through the woods as much and sprayed my mix in his hair. I make sure to mix up a more diluted spray for my littlest. I always get complements on how good it smells, which is such a huge plus when I remember how disgusting deet is.🤢 my only few bites were after shower and in forgot to spray it!! That is a huge win for me that my family can walk away without bites.
I hope you all had a fantastic Fathers Day weekend. I'd love to hear how you spent it or if you have some fun summer plans!!❤

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! This is such a weird weekend this year. Normally our family would be camping, hiking, biking, and enjoying the great outdoors. This year, camping was closed up until today. So we are still making the best of it and visiting family and playing outside. I'm sure a lot of you were looking forward to the incredible race day. I can't believe that it isn't happening. It all feels very surreal.

We are also taking the time to remember what this day is about and the sacrifices that the men and women have made for our country and for our freedoms. I think that it's easy to take for granted what sacrifices were made and the freedoms we enjoy until our freedoms are under attack. I pray that we all take some time to appreciate how blessed we are.

I know some are really struggling and this time is really scary as you may have lost your job, money may be tight, your business may be struggling to stay afloat. I am hopeful that moving forward there will be changes for the better. I am hopeful that you will see God's will in your time of need. I know that my sanctuary is in Him and Him alone. I take great peace from that.

I also find some comfort in my oils. If I am feeling anxious, I'll reach for my Peace & Calming. If I am feeling like I need boost in my mood, I reach for Orange or Peppermint or any of the yummy citrus oils. If I need to feel grounded, I reach for my Frankincense. Oils are so incredible for helping me with many different issues!

If you are dealing with some heavy emotions or maybe want to create a wonderful atmosphere of tranquility or happiness, I am sharing some oils and their emotional benefits. If you would like a roller recipe using any of these oils, let me know. I'm always happy to help! Enjoy!!
