Last holiday season, I received an email from a Book Fairy family (I've removed their identifying information). At that point, The Book Fairy had only been open for a handful of months, and as a new business owner, it was one of those moments I'll never forget.
Their daughter chose to make a donation that was remarkable for anyone, let alone a 14-year-old.
That single act of generosity helped us bring a full book fair to IPS 34, where every student—from Pre-K through 5th grade—experienced a traditional book fair and chose a book to take home at no cost.
That's what this membership program is about.
Every membership and subscription helps grow our Community Fund, which puts books directly into the hands of kids who might not otherwise have access to them. It's not just supporting a small business—it's creating opportunities for children across Indianapolis to discover the joy of reading.
