Email [email protected] The purpose of my WHY I LOVE NATIONAL GUITARS page is, first, to celebrate the rich culture of blues, jazz, folk and roots music, some of which is played on Nationals, and some is not. I love the deep and wonderful heritage and history of the music, which is an endless inspiration to me and, I hope, to others. The page was start

ed over a decade ago and has been built into a rewarding and fun place to enjoy and share the music, and the guitars, that legendary and obscure artists have brought to the world. I do feature many National guitars and National-playing artists, modern and vintage. But really, it is the music and lives of the musicians that I show here, primarily.

I DO sell every new National Reso-Phonic (and Scheerhorn, made by National) instrument made, and have a few excellent-to-mint condition used Nationals as well. And Fairbanks Guitars, and some other gems. I have the world’s biggest stock, often around 30 different models in stock and ready to ship, and hundreds of Nationals on order. Because I have so many guitars on order, all can be customized for you, and your ETA will usually be many months sooner than if you order a new National “from scratch.”

Brand new STYLE O 12 FRET is available now! This is National's flagship model. Brass bodied, nickel plated 12 fret single cone with ribbed sieve coverplate, rolled f-holes, and formed back. Maple neck with burst finish, slotted headstock, and bound Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays. Etched one palm tropical design on front and back with solid etched band on the sides. Century-old design, an art deco masterpiece. The tone is bell-like and powerful. Loads of punch with sweet reverberation. Amazing instrument.

I also have a new custom Style 1 Tricone with the same Style O etched design, available now as well.

The Raw Series instruments have no painted or plated finish like most other models. Just a thin coating of carnuba wax. The bodies will naturally patina over time. Among the metal guitars, painted bodies makes the tone a bit darker, plated bodies make the sound a bit brighter. Raw may be the most powerful. Also, the Raw Series are better price.

This is all Maple, with the classic f-holes, sieve coverplate. 25" scale length, 1 13/16" (aka 1.82") nut width. Bound Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays. Flat back. Gold-yellow painted finish with random red-orange colors. Same palm trees w/ setting sun as the early 1930s models. Lighter in weight than the metal versions. Bold, pure, warm National sound with a punch and sweet reverberation. Compensated saddle. So much fun to play. IN STOCK NOW!

New National Reso-Phonic TRIOLIAN W-SERIES 12 FRET SINGLE CONE guitar has a steel body and Maple neck with Walnut Burst finish. Flat-cut f-holes, sieve coverplate, formed back. The steel is a thinner gauge than the Delphis of the 90s and oughts (so not as heavy), and the tone is bold and has the sweet reverberation Nationals are known for. Great bonk and splang, an immediate response. Classic, and versatile for lots of styles of music.
