Friends of WVC Mission Statement:
"Our aim is to preserve Woodbridge Village Center (WVC) as a unique retail and community destination, and to keep residents informed about its future. Our mission is to work collectively with the community, the City of Irvine, the Woodbridge Village Association, and the Irvine Company, to revitalize and renew WVC by transforming it into a vibrant and thriving r
etail center." The Friends of WVC coalition and this page was created in August 2014 when the Irvine Company was evaluating options to replace the WVC possibly with residential units or another generic strip mall. Early in 2015, The Irvine Company announced the WVC would remain a retail center and that improved shopping, food and entertainment offerings would be pursued. The Irvine Company plans to reveal their proposal to the Woodbridge Village Association sometime in 2015. The Friends of WVC believes this center is a unique and valuable feature of our community. We are eager to see the Irvine Company preserve and enhance the center as a desirable pedestrian and cycling destination, with new and unique retail stores and restaurants.
