Using my own Name-Pat Halpen-for my business name-I have made lots and lots of leather purses over the years. The whole time i was doing that, I wanted to be an Impressionist Artist. How to make (which one??)happen? Seemed like a good idea to just keep making purses. Eventually I realized I could satisfy the Park Ranger urge by living way out in the country. And I could satisfy the Impressionist A

rtist urge by adding lots of color and texture to my purses. Each one could become a unique little work of Art. So the -mostly leather-purses and accessories you'll see here and in my Etsy Shop come with the energy of the wild nature that surrounds my hilltop studio. And they are completely unique Designer Originals-no one else makes anything like them. And I gave my new work a new business name:Sky Path Design. Remember that I have made lots and lots of purses-so even tho they are little works of Art, they are made to be practical and functional for everyday use. Hope you will find one or two that you can't live without! And if you don't see one you like today,keep looking-colors and styles change constantly.

Raven and Many Moons Talisman Necklace….strung on Leather Cord and featuring very special beads. They are Handmade Paper Beads,and they were handmade by my Grandmother in the 1920s. So they are Authentic Bohemian Antiques. She and her sister made hundreds for Bead Curtains to hang across doorways. I’m happy to finally be using some(yes,I have 1 doorway in my house where they are hanging) . She reminded me I had 2 boxes full that I had not gotten around to re-stringing,and maybe I should USE them! So I’m happy to share my Grandmothers Artistry,as it was her example that inspired me to make my Living as a Craft Artist!

Here are my new babies Wasabi and Chicharrone.They were born in my daughter’s garage,grandchildren of the Barn Cat from across the road. These babies and their 5 siblings were cuddled and handled as soon as it was safe to pick them up….so their barn cat legacy is almost invisible. Except that they eat like ANIMALS And they think my legs are trees,so I have to wear long skirts for the rest of the summer to hide the claw marks.They are very loving and cuter than you can imagine.My 4 older cats are doing OK with them-2 of them hate them and 2 of them interact with them-Suprisingly,my 14 year old Male-who is King of the house has started to play with them.He slaps them around and jumps on them and bites them-just what kittens do to each other all day long. But you can see he’s doing it with restraint-he could finish them with one bite, if he wanted to.So he understands they are kittens. Never underestimate the intelligence of an animal!

OK I haven’t posted inna long time. Lost all my IG Friends and Followers I suppose.Dont know why-perhaps I spent all my daily allowance of TIME-reading the news. I’m especially fascinated by how Humanity seems to be regressing rather than evolving. But anyway,I need people to BUY MY EARRINGS so I’ll tell you about these. Just made them today. Shorter length Chandelier Earrings made with sparkly ,iridescent,rainbow printed Leather. The Lava Stone and the Earwires are treated with Rainbow Titanium. Actually,I think you apply Titanium to something or other and super-heat it and it turns Rainbow. Whatever. It has amazing,deep sparkle.A very pretty pair of small,dangle earrings. Every Spring I have to take multiple pictures of my Peonies. This year they are particularly stunning! My gardens did not exist 16 years ago-there was just burned out grass and trash out there. Now it’s a Paradise for Bees and Hummingbirds. And me!
