After last night’s opening performance of Six: Teen Edition at the Markay Cultural Arts Center, we were excited to hand Amanda Crabtree the first $2,000 collected from our members for Jackson County Forward. 💜

The best part? More checks are still coming in.

It was also wonderful to see so many Jackson 100 For Good members in the audience supporting local theater, local students, and the arts in our community. We saw Dave & Barb Apsley, Terrina Fahnestock with the The Haute Doggerie Jenny & Erik Massie from the The Spot on Main Café and Coffee Roasters, Anna Siders, and we’re sure there were others we didn’t get a chance to see. Thank you for supporting us!

Sami and McKenna serve on the Jackson 100 For Good student board, but this weekend they’re busy lighting up the stage in Six. Their cast performs today at 2:00 p.m. Another talented cast performs tonight at 7:00 p.m. and again tomorrow at the Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.

One of the things we’ve learned over the past few months is that the same people who are helping nonprofits, serving on boards, supporting community projects, and volunteering throughout Jackson County are often the same people filling our theaters, attending local events, and cheering on others.

That’s what community looks like.

And thanks to our members, Jackson County Forward is already receiving support that will help them continue making Jackson County an even better place to live, work, and play.
