happy to hear news this morning that an old friend to Primus Racing, Reid Hazelton has made a deal with Dustin Hodges from Arrive-Drive Motorsports to drive one of their Dp08 F2000 chassis at Road Atlanta for 40th Anniversary race. I met Reid probably back in 2010 when he qualified his Rf92 formula Ford on the pole at Road America Runoffs. he has lots of formula car experience and lately has been driving some classic Indy cars for demonstration at the NTT events. It will be great seeing Reid in the big race at Atlanta.

My good friend Nic Zoretic shared a laugh with Santino Ferrucci HpTech F2000 alumni and now AJ Foyt Indy car driver. The laughs didnt last long because Nic was working hard for Momentum motorsports during the weekend at Barber Motorsports Park.

Ready for the big dance!

🏁 Formula Continental at the Runoffs: 10 drivers, one national title 🏁

FC has a stacked field at Road America this year, and we couldn't be more fired up. 🔥

SCCA's Runoffs preview has it going like this:
🥇 Brandon Dixon – the defending FC champion. He won 2025 from the Tire Rack Pole and led flag to flag.
🥈 Michael Varacins – seven Formula Vee titles and the 2024 FC crown. If anyone can stop Dixon, it's him.
🥉 Brian Tomasi – a two-time FC champion (2004, 2010) and third last year. He'll be waiting if the top two start battling.

Predictions are one thing. The green flag is another. 👀

The DP08 was based almost entirely on the Van Diemen '99-up chassis, so many parts are direct crossovers including the bodywork, wings, and suspension.

My friend from Arizona Jim Bryant made a visit to California with former Indy car engineer Chuck Buckman. They totally refurbished Van Diemen F2000 car recently as we supplied them with new bodywork and wings. I remember when Jim purchased this former HP Tech chassis from me back in 2018. He drove a uhaul from Arizona to pick up car in Pawleys Island, SC. I was able to see Jim and meet Chuck as well in Monterey, California in 2025. I absolutely love racing and the people involved.

Derek Holmes just took his 98 Van Diemen out for first time with new widetrack he purchased from Primus and he said it was major improvement- I said to Derek did you ever doubt my infinite knowledge in these matters- At any rate so happy he had a good weekend and car looks great.
