We just made a pleasant delivery trip to visit our friend and loyal driftwood enthusiast Arturo Tyson in Darien GA. Always good to chat with him and see his beautiful gardens and Koi ponds. His interest in the larger pieces pushes my paddle board limitations but I enjoy the challenge.😀

I’m not sure if the colors enhance the driftwood or vice-versa. Either way I’ve decided to experiment a bit…no guts no glory is my motto. In the wall hanging there are 6 different types of driftwood. Hope you like it.

I’ve become fascinated with air plants recently. I never realized there were so many versions. The best part for me is how easy they are to care for. I find wood then Cecilia figures out which air plants to use. Pretty simple😀.

This piece has all of the right stuff for Cecilia’s very large orchid project. It’s 9’ tall and will host many plants once completely dry and cleaned up a bit. First I will search for a nice flat stone base heavy enough to support it.

Great couple hours for old bottles, old wood, and an old swamp rat. I pushed the limits of my Perception Hi-Life Hybrid today with a gorgeous piece of cypress. The bonus was a couple of bottles from the 1800’s. One from Jacksonville FL. So many bait fish in the shallows. It was fun watching the redfish chase them.

New booth assignment for Swamp Rat Russ is now #83 in the plaza by the Skate Park for Saturday’s Riverside Arts Market. I thought 229 by the river sounded too good to be true for a newbie vendor.

Going to try a few wine bottle and wine glass pieces. My first one is small and simple but the next will be a 3-bottle and 2 glass combo either wall or counter top mount.
