I am so excited to be participating in the Greater Goods / True Chesapeake Fall Eco-Market this Sunday, September, 20th.

This unique market will be bringing together 50+ awesome local artists and makers with sustainable business practices. There will be environmental groups sharing all sorts of information! And there will be delicious oysters (omg), cocktails and coffees and shell painting. All at the gorgeous Whitehall Mill Baltimore

For over 20 years, I have been hunting – and finding - the most unusual, amazing and beautiful pieces of silverware to use in my work (and at my table 😉).

I know the hidden-gem thrift stores and the best community flea markets around. I have made friends with antique dealers who I visit regularly- and who know what I like.

I simply adore finding those old, nasty pieces and forging them into beautiful wearable art! But I also love finding perfectly beautiful forgotten pieces that just languish for years in the corner of some display case, collecting dust. No! Let’s use the pretty things!!

I know you guys appreciate these pieces as much as I do- you just don’t get the same opportunities to find them. So here’s your opportunity!

Well, I definitely have hot stuff!! Whoa! No matter what I do, I seem to grow the hottest jalapeños!! And we love ‘em that way!! But man!!!

Recently, my mom asked me what we use them for and I could only think of nachos! That’s ok - but the thing is- I usually can about 40 jars! Yeah, that’s a lot of nachos!!!

Wow! You guys!! Thank you so much for an amazing summer art festival season! Setting up a fully packed little storefront on the weekends is really hard work- but at the end of the day- I still love it! If you have ever stopped by my booth and have gotten me talking about what I do, you know I love it- you really can’t shut me up (I saw you trying to get away, but I still didn’t shut up)!!!

I love making my art- and I love sharing it!! Thank you so much for coming out and supporting handmade!! I appreciate you!!

Enjoyed a beautiful hike yesterday- and once again, I have fallen in love with the colors, textures and patterns I find!! You know there will be some lichen inspired enamels soon!!

I thought I would make a quick trip down to The Market at Long Green to restock keychains and spoon rings and also drop off some torch fired enamel earrings and knife handle earrings - but it is just not possible! There’s always something new, amazing or delicious to check out!

This Saturday, July 18th! Twisted Roots Rare & Common Plants will have TONS of new plants (plus raffles and terrarium bar) and the courtyard and Armory will be full of amazing artists and crafters!! I will be in The Armory!! 10-5pm come by and say Hi!!!

Actually doing the thing you’ve had in your head for awhile is pretty exciting and also kind of scary… but the day comes and for some reason- it’s THE day! You set aside the doubts and what-if’s and you just do it!! Yesterday was that day!! And I did it! And I love it!
(And today I have all the “Why did I wait so long to try that?” feelings)
