Rain, rain rain… we had 4.5 inches over 18 hours. What’s great is we didn’t get flooded. Having the farm on a gentle slope, building beds up and channeling water absolutely pays off. What’s not so great is the flowers took a beating and I see a lot of damage on petals. I’m not sure if there are enough flowers for the markets but hey, I made this arrangement this week! 💐☔️

The little El Colibrí Flowers farm, on this glorious day, when we are just about to finish the bulk of planting for the season. Cosmos, marigolds and celosia are yet to go in the ground — yes, we know we are VERY late — but we could not do this without incredible tolerance for a steep learning curve.
